It's for real. I just heard a report on WMAL AM 630 radio.
Now stop doubting and say a prayer for the family, please.

Thanks,
what was the story?
Since no news outlet has carried it for 60 hours and the police don't have it listed on their reports it DID look fishy.
The last Amber Alert we had was out in 45 minutes or so. This is 60+ hours and still nothing?
I have a plane to catch early and I'm not sure - hope it's not a hoax.
Good night all and good luck.

So, why don't you give the readers on this thread some information?
What did you hear?
Where is WMAL?

WMAL AM 630 radio. Now
there's gold-standard source. I wonder if the evening slot whiner, what's-his-name, is on the case.
The memory of WMAL's handling of the "DC sniper" case still amkes me want to puke.
They cut off every voice or reason that was hapless enough to call their shows, AM through PM. And now their rush-hour show, run by Chris Core, I believe, is a daily whine-fest that gives voice to members of the intellectually marginal segment of society who neither do their homework or think things through prior to calling in about the latest, usually-local pet-peeve of the host.
At least, that's how it was when I "fired" that show from my radio dial more than a year ago....
