Sanchez described the operation that captured Saddam. The general said it was a cordon-and-search operation, and coalition forces sustained no casualties. In fact, he said, coalition forces never fired a shot. For the last several months, a combination of human intelligence tips, exceptional intelligence analytical efforts and detainee interrogations narrowed down the activities of Saddam Hussein
-- The streets of Baghdad erupted with celebratory gunfire, according to correspondents in the Iraqi capital. Officials said some Iraqi regime diehards may launch attacks, but that coalition forces are prepared. In the long term, officials said, they see the capture as going a long way to bring stability to the country.

If you ever left a message on an answering machine you can do this!
It's really that simple. AND It's a Toll Free Number !
You can leave one or more new messages each day.
Send deployed troops message on SoldiersRadio.com
SoldiersRadio is again this year providing a way to let you tell Service members worldwide that you care and are thinking about them during the Holidays.
You can do an Audio Post Card simply by calling 1-800-330-5090. Your recorded personalized message will be played back on www.SoldiersRadio.com.
You can record a short message (30 seconds) to friends, family members or just a random message of good will. SoldiersRadio will then take your message and put it on the radio Web cast throughout the Holiday Season. Its very simple to do and works both ways ... from the field or to the Service member.
AnyServiceMember.org is also promoting the call-in holiday service in hopes of reaching a large group of people who would like to send a message to Soldiers serving away from home.
The cut-off date for the call in is tomorrow, Monday Dec.15. SoldiersRadio.com |

The news and info is flowing so fast, it makes my head spin. But thank God he's finally been run down and locked up. I can only imagine the thoughts running through the head of the G.I. when he realized who he was looking at in the bottom of that hole.

I wonder if he was "FROG MARCHED" out of that spider hole!

Has anyone heard anything about the pictures above? Are these before and after pictures taken today/yesterday? Was he allowed to clean up, shave and then be rephotograghed? The backgrounds look like the same tile. Just curious.

After all that money supporting homicide bombers, after even the deaths of his two murderous boys who went down fighting, Ms Saddam, armed with a pistol, finally went down with a whimper, not a bang. Whattaday. Whattaguy.
