Joy to the World They thought that we would rue it. They doubted we'd do it. But now they must admit it, that succeed we did.
First, let's just be happy. Let's feel a burst of joy.
Let's not be boring people who Consider the Implications. Let's not talk about the domestic political impact. For just a day let's feel the pleasure history just handed us.

Peggy-bump!
Next stop, Osama. May we find him in a hole. May we search his beard for lice and his gums for disease. May we see in the reflection of the light the mouth of hell, and may we close it for him tight.
Oh, I'd love to see Osama getting a shave and a haircut, put in an orange jumpsuit, and paraded around looking sheepish.

Representative Ron Lewis attended our church today. He attends there often when in home in Kentucky. He had an ear to ear grin on this morning. No gloating, and the pastor only said that this was a great weekend, the Cats won, the Cards won and Saddam was captured: followed by lots of applause.

I am SO proud. Of our troops, first and foremost. We owe them everything.
Of this president, second, who has been steadfast in the face of such opposition.
None of the naysayers on the left can take away the joy I feel today. It's a great day to be an American and an even better day for the Iraqis.

Bob Bevelacqua is on FNC, saying that we should all celebrate. He said it breaks his heart, that SOME in the political arena would get on tv and downplay it. He's more diplomatic than I would be.

Am expecting all the liberal left Democrats starting to cry and whine about Saddam's rights being violated. Keep remembering the how those same are crying about the Gitmo detainees rights. Made me sick and ashamed that our country would permit these jerkoffs to be Americans.

BUMP!

America did this. American troops did this
Just in case some of our Coalition buddies swing by...don't think we've forgotten
y'all.
You've stayed the course and we love y'all for it.
And as soon as the whoopin' and hollarin' quiets, most of us will be giving
thanks to Providence for our soldiers, Coalition friends, the capture of
Saddam, and for all the good miiltary personnel that gave live or limb to
make this day possible.

Admin, can you put Peggy Noonan's name in the title? People might think this is a Christmas post, when in fact, it is a piece of history.
Nobody writes like Peggy Noonan. Nobody.

And in my church today, typically non-political in every way, our associate minister thanked God for Hussein's capture. Methodism is flourishing politically incorrectly. Hallelujah!!!

And we are reminded that when you do what is right, you can be rewarded. When you summon the guts to take a controversial stand, and accept the price of that stand, and the price comes in every day, you can win.The inspirational truth from Peggy Noonan. Excellent.
