Philadelphia, PA. Ahhhh, the home of my mother and father. Where their parents came from Italy and Germany. Worked hard, raised their children and taught their children what it meant to be in the United States of America. My parents told us many stories of living and working in Philadelphia.

My mother was there in the same parish as my "FUTURE HUSBAND" "WAY FUTURE HUSBAND" was growing u in West Philly where my mom was raised. My dad was born on Christian Street in South Philadelphia. My Grandparents lived there until they died. Ahhh, south street.

My mother worked at the bell telephone and met my dad there for the first time. They spoke of walking the streets in downtown Philly looking in store windows passing people who were respectful, nice, polite and dressed nicely (not rich) as well.

Many stories of Philadelphia. Many trips on the train to Philadelphia to get winter clothing or to see Santa in the big Department stores. Lots of meals at Horn N' Hardart. Wow...what memories.

Lots of good people in Philadelphia. Lots of good people there too. We used to go to Haverford, PA, South Philly, West Philly, Narbeth, PA, Ardmore, PA and Wayne, PA and Berwyn, PA. Thanks ... that brought back memories of Independence Hall and the like. My parents remembered their roots and passed them along to us. God bless them all.

Mole to be exact) bad tasting water and weekend trips to Wildwood to the beach and Jersey shore for a dinner at Zaberer's or taffy at Doughlas Candies or fudge at Laura's greetings!!! As I told another Freeper by private e-mail, I already witnessed that this morning when I went to work out in my health club. I'm in Manhattan, lots of Liberals, and as the stories were being shown on the TVs in the club, some of these people looked sick. When the news came on that Bush was going to be on TV at noon, one of them could no longer control her anger and said that there was no way she was going to watch him "crow" about this and said the whole thing is "horrible." I laughed in her face and said it was a great day. Believe me, these people hate Bush so much that they would rather see a million 9-11 attacks than have things happen that make him look good.

I'm taking some liberties here to be truthful. However, I heard Ellen Ratner say on FOX that she hopes Bush screws up the war in Iraq. Logic tells me she MUST be despondent over the capture of Hussein. And I can't imagine the others actually being HAPPY with his capture either! They operate under a black philosophy: "It is my duty to undercut all my opponent's successes. Because when he succeeds, I fail."
