Just saw Dan Blather.....he looks like his mother just died.

Has anyone heard if we got a tip to his location or did they just find him during a routine search? Just wondering...

Saddam Hussein was captured, uninjured, without a shot being fired, while hiding in the basement of a house in his hometown of Tikrit. Magical words.
This has some implications for France, if he talks.

On BBC TV, they just had a live report from Basra, people are dancing in the streets, cheering, and - no joke - they said a brass band was cruising around on the bed of a large truck.

During the press conf they said that it was a result of Intelligenge Analysis, that the Analysists had done a good job. I assume that they put together a bunch of tidbits that pointed to this area.
They searched two locations and came up empty, but then enclosed the area and did a search. Seeing something, they discovered the spider hole.

Thsy are saying they started talking to ,bringing in people ,family members of friends of people who could possibly aid Saddam and gradually the ring tightened as they gathered bits of info until they found him.He had been where he was at least long enough for someone to have info.

At the Bremer announcement, the first journalists to stand and cheer were Arabs! I'm sure ABC will be careful not to show that clip again!!

I assume that they put together a bunch of tidbits that pointed to this area.We call them "indicators" not tidbits, but same concept.
