Tom Browkaw just interviewed a Mr Caughlin from the UK Telegraph who, it is apparent from the conversation, was the person who received the Iraqi document, mentioned in an earlier post, which announced that Atta had received training under Saddam in July '01.
I guess NBC decided this was too big to hide, and decided, rather, to scoop the competition.
The lie about "no connection" is BUST!
God bless the U.S., GW, and our troops!

They see their side losing, and are trying to jump into the winners column before they are irrelevent. This making the air is definitely related to Saddam being captured.

Oh my gosh, the twits on the Left must be in complete meltdown.

If that memo can be proven to be authentic, that's yet another issue the DemocRATS can't use. I'd imagine the phone lines are melting at the DNC as they try to figure out how to spin this into a negative light along with Saddams capture.

Democrat talking points today: Bush lied about Thanksgiving dinner in Bagdad and kept an eight-hour secret that Sadaam had been captured. What else has he lied to the American people about? Wahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

this guy said he had already had it authnticated and it is the real deal. it surprised me that nbc let he tell about the atta training and then, once he left the screen, nbc acted like he hadn't said what he just said. no comments at all from nbc.

Unfortunately, you're right: the new clock is set, and every soldier injured or killed (praying for them) will be paraded as a "casualty since Saddam's capture" to soil the positive development. Screw 'em. The truth is resonating among the moo people.
A bud of mine, MP just back last month, told me this was in the bag...just a matter of time: the entire city of Tikrit had been surrounded with razor wire and troops, and a methodical search had been underway for some time.

I suspect Brokaw does not want to end his career labelled a terrorist sympathizer.
He can't really hide his dislike for the President and all things republican but he also cannot minimize the accomplishments of our military.

Daschle: "The leak of the memo, which hasn't been confirmed as genuine, paints a troubling picture of security within the new Iraq governing council. I'm calling for a full, bi-partisan, UN-sanctioned investigation to prosecute both the leaker and the journalist who broke the story."
