SADDAM HUSSEIN CAPTURED
Former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein has been captured in his home town of Tikrit, according to reports.
There has been no independent verification of the news but Sky New's Foreign Editor Tim Marshall says the source of the news is usually reliable.
The US Defence Department says it has had no confirmation of the claims, which come from Iraqi Kurd leader Jalal Talabani, says the Iran news agency IRNA.
Hundreds of exultant people have taken to the streets of Kirkuk, firing weapons into the air in celebration.
A press conference has been announced for 12pm GMT.
In Baghdad, a spokeswoman for the US-led operation notified reporters that a "very important" announcement will be made at the press conference.

Like a flowchart, no doubt. Right now, the DNC is getting every rat 'on message' and setting up appearances, etc.
Every editorial board is spinning this now. Cannot wait to see the media show this week.

Some men "talk the talk."
Other men "walk the walk!"
Congratulations to American President George Bush, SOD Donald Rumsfeld, and the men and women of the United States Armed Forces, for patiently and tenaciously pursuing the "Butcher of Bagdad" Saddam Hussein, and dragging him out of his hole he was cowering in like the little puke thug he was to finally face JUSTICE!

From what I gather, Clark is supposed to be a witness against what's his name? Milosovich(sp?) You know that Serbian guy. The theory tossed about is that W wanted to upstage Clark.

I hope somebody gets a screen shot of George Snuffleupigus, he looks despondent!

Last week, saddam was supposedly orchestrating attacks from a mini command bunker. This week, they will say the capture is no big deal, because he had no influence anyway. Bush invited AQ in, etc.

I see Iraqis celebrating on FoxNews. Today is a treat for me, because I don't have cable, but my local Fox station switched to FoxNews for the entire day.

-- Mixed blessing, I'm glad Saddam has been captured, but I don't think we'll ever hear the end of this from the repugs. I'm dreading the next few weeks. Operation Red Dawn. Wolverines Yeah!
Hope a Fox affiliate shows that movie 24/7 for the next week. I know it's one of the Dems favorites.

You've got to wonder about the story of that guy that stood up, in the front of the Bremmer press conference, and started yelling, "Death to Saddam." How many Iraqis, who lost family members and loved ones, finally get some peace today? That is what this is all about. People are weeping for joy in Iraq today. Lots of people.
God bless the United States of America!

The big brother in a small hole
Horrraaaaa
It's the justice day.
I'm speechless.
I'm crying.
The tyrants' hour has finally came. I went down to the streets to share the joy with my brothers. This is our day, the day of all the oppressed and good people on earth.
Tears of joy filled the eyes of all the people.
Saddam, the coward, hides in a hole, shaking in fear from being captured.
Not a single bullet was fired, without any resistance, God, he was even cooperative! The mighty tyrant, who exploited all our country's fortune for his personal protection, surrenders like the cowered I expected him to be.
Yes, he should be prosecuted in Iraq. We will not allow anything else.
We want to see him in a cage bending more and more, humiliated more and more, just as he forced all the Iraqis to bend to him, like they were his slaves. But we will not be like him, we will give him a fair trail, and he will get just what he deserves, although I have no idea what does he really deserve.
It's indeed an inauspicious day for all the tyrants. Let them know that their days are near too.
This is the day of all Iraqi martyrs who were slaughtered just to please his sick lust for blood.
Rest in peace my brothers. The paradise is yours and the disgrace and hell is for all the tyrants on earth.
Thank you American, British, Spanish, Italian, Australian, Ukrainian, Japanese and all the coalition people and all the good people on earth.
God bless the 1st brigade.
God bless the 4th infantry division.
God bless Iraq.
God bless America.
God bless the coalition people and soldiers.
God bless all the freedom loving people on earth.
I wish I could hug you all.

See, I was sure they'd be convinced that this was to upstage Paul Simon's funeral. I guess it's hard to predict in which areas their paranoia will erupt.

Operation Red Dawn. Wolverines Yeah! And greetings to all our brothers and sisters behind enemy lines in the blue zone.
The hour of your liberation draws near.

"You've got to wonder about the story of that guy that stood up, in the front of the Bremmer press conference, and started yelling, "Death to Saddam." "
and how soon before the libs in our media start criticizing the IRAQI media for celebrating the news of Saddam's capture? I think even some of our journalists have to celebrate the capture of this man that is responsible for the killing of millions.
