Well, maybe being in charge starts with an attitude or desire also. If you want to be in charge, make some little baby steps in that direction.

Yes. And attitude or rationality have no effect, no matter how positive, on the reality that cognitive function and physical ability are greatly diminished. It is the realization of loss and the acceptance of a limited future that can lead to suicide until thought thru and accepted.
