I have been monitoring these two threads and will add my 2 cents worth, FWIW.

Suicide is not noble. I can empathize with TILH's situation, but taking one's life and the pain it causes to his loved ones, in which they will be internally taking the blame for LITH's sucide for years is an inherantly selfish act.

Maybe it is the way our society morphed, where only "me" matters.

Prayers to TILH's family and loved ones.

Dane, suicide is irrational to a non-depressive.

To a depressive, with a numb, confused, and tormented mind, suicide may appear
the only escape from a hell so brutal I remember thinking once that I would not wish
it on Adolph Hitler.

I used to think that if I could somehow isolate my depression into my right arm, I'd
grab a knife or chainsaw and cut it off.

As a kid, I recall first seeing drawings of Dante's inferno and wondering what hell was
really like.

As a depressive, I eventually found out.

And as a friend, I pray you never experience it.

Thanks for throwing my name in the "reply to", there. NOT. Excuse me, but what were you thinking? I am TILH's widow, which you'd know if you bothered to read the other thread. How exactly are your thoughts on this supposed to be relevant to me at a time when I'm extremely vulnerable?
