I'm glad I tuned in tonight and saw your freep report. Good to see so many familiar names.

Teddy was the most handsome. But his insides show on the outside. Everything about him is a cartoon. The Kennedys and Clintons are going to be written down on the dark side of our history. They're like reading about Rome in the time of Caligula.

Great freep from a little bunch! One wonders if these signs have any effect on Teddy. To be constantly reminded of the tragedies, one would have to be made of steel not to be affected. Or is it beginning to show on his recent photos???

Great Going!!
Thanks Freepers!

About 18 years ago, I worked in Manhattan. A limo pulled up right next to me as I was walking back from lunch, the door opened and it was Ted Kennedy. He wasn't getting out. I don't know what they were doing. I was so surprised I was looking right at him. I said ewww,it's Ted Kennedy, get out of our city you murderer. My co-worker was shocked that I said that. It was just a reaction even I surprised myself.

Oh man! You have put Blastus into a depression! We were even downtown that evening for the office Christmas party without the kids. When I told him about the freep report you should have seen his face. So sad. He has always wanted to freep TK. Too late now. Looks like you guys did a fine job. Keep it up!

Even though we missed you, it's probably just as well you didn't know about it---I can see Blastus trying to make the decision between the freep and the office Christmas party--LOL!

I had the honor of freeping John Kerry in VA this year...it was a BLAST!

It's also very addictive and good for you. Thanks for getting Kerry.

LOL! Actually we did win the grand prize door prize at the thing. An LCD Portable DVD player. I've told him I might actually look forward to going to the party next year. Believe me, TK would have won out over the Christmas party!

The only controversy is why he gets elected over and over. That is what is amazing to me! Maybe it's those darn hanging chads.

I totally agree. What is amazing to me is him being elected, elected and elected over again. Must be those hanging chads or cold weather besets brain damaged voters.

SENATOR TED KENNEDY TO BE KEYNOTE SPEAKER FOR TEXAS CIVIL RIGHTS PROJECT 13th ANNUAL BANQUET

-Austin TX- The Texas Civil Rights Project at the Michael Tigar Human Rights Center is pleased to announce that Senator Edward M. “Ted” Kennedy will be the keynote speaker for its 13th annual fundraising banquet, the “Bill of Rights Dinner” on December 12, 2003, in Austin.

The Texas Civil Rights Project promotes racial, social, and economic justice through education and litigation. Since it’s beginning, TCRP has worked hard in the areas of voting rights, racial and gender-based discrimination, hate crimes, privacy, disability rights, and free speech issues, to name a few. Serving the poor and the powerless, TCRP has handled hundreds of cases for Texans who have nowhere else to turn for assistance.

Senator Kennedy has represented Massachusetts in the United States Senate since he was first elected in 1962 to finish the term of his brother, President John F. Kennedy. Since then, he has been re-elected seven times, and he is now the second most senior member of the Senate.

Throughout his career, Kennedy has fought for issues that benefit the nation. The struggle to bring quality health care to every American is a battle that Kennedy has been waging ever since he arrived in the Senate. Kennedy is also active on a wide range of other issues, including all aspects of homeland security, restoring economic growth and helping the unemployed, improving elementary and secondary schools and making colleges more affordable, raising the minimum wage, defending the rights of workers and their families, strengthening civil rights laws, protecting a woman’s right to choose, assisting individuals with disabilities, fighting for cleaner water and cleaner air, protecting and strengthening Social Security and dealing with judicial nominations.

Says TCRP Director Jim Harrington, “We are very privileged that one of our country’s civil rights leaders will give the keynote address at our banquet. Senator Kennedy has a long history of service to this country, and a record of true compassion in human rights issues. Many of us have admired his diligent work for years, and it is a great honor to have Senator Kennedy speak at our Bill of Rights dinner.”

For tickets and information, please contact Joy Authur or Jackie Carton at (512) 474-5073.

I don't have any idea what he spoke about. It didn't get much publicity around here, and since I don't read the Austin (UN) American, I haven't seen any reports. There sure wasn't any mention on KLBJ talk radio about it, that I heard, either.
