If you ever left a message on an answering machine you can do this!
It's really that simple. AND It's a Toll Free Number !
You can leave one or more new messages each day.
Send deployed troops message on SoldiersRadio.com
SoldiersRadio is again this year providing a way to let you tell Service members worldwide that you care and are thinking about them during the Holidays.
You can do an Audio Post Card simply by calling 1-800-330-5090. Your recorded personalized message will be played back on www.SoldiersRadio.com.
You can record a short message (30 seconds) to friends, family members or just a random message of good will. SoldiersRadio will then take your message and put it on the radio Web cast throughout the Holiday Season. Its very simple to do and works both ways ... from the field or to the Service member.
AnyServiceMember.org is also promoting the call-in holiday service in hopes of reaching a large group of people who would like to send a message to Soldiers serving away from home.
The cut-off date for the call in is tomorrow, Monday Dec.15. SoldiersRadio.com |

AND I thought it was important to make sure that my miles would be used for enlisted only - no officers, and no contractors, and no news personnel. They can take advantage of these miles, too, and I didn't want my miles going to some overpaid contractor. (I used to be one, so I know!)
Check when you call and see if you can put a "restricted use" on your miles, for enlisted only. I did - with American Airlines, and Delta.

When you go to the Operation Uplink website, there is a form to donate by credit card, or send a check to the address at the bottom of the page.
I sent my check today....it is easy, painless, and produces a warm fuzzy feeling in your upper left torso.

I've got a couple nieces away at various universities so they get my phone card donations. I did just donate a hundred thousand miles to one of American's charities. And, I bought a bunch of commisary certificates.
When I threw my paper in the recycle bin yesterday, I grabbed about 2 dozen coupon inserts, filled 4 Tyvek envelopes, now I just have to remember to go to the PO. Doesn't seem like all that hard of a task but I know me! They'll take a couple days to get to the car then another couple before I remember to mail them. The thought is there, it's just the execution drags!
Last time, the clerk inquired if I wanted them insured and I declined. When I explained why I was posting them, she said it was cool. Saw her yesterday and now she's doing it. Her brother is TDY in Afghanistan.

The girls and I dug all the coupons out of the recycle bin, cut and cut, then sent them off. We put 4 stamps on. Was this enough postage? We sent them to Japan.

I always take mine to the Post Office since it's a large envelope. An APO address takes regular postage, I believe. Japan would be more. They have(had) Tyvek envelopes that for a flat fee, everything you can cram in is one price.
Not to worry, the postman will return it if you didn't have enough postage, ;)
