LOS ANGELES - Hundreds of Hispanics protested the repeal of a law allowing illegal immigrants to get driver's licenses, taking to the streets Friday in a statewide boycott of schools and businesses.

The daylong boycott was intended to highlight the economic contribution of California's Hispanic community, the nation's largest.
About 400 people marched into East Los Angeles, waving signs that read, in Spanish, "Yes, we can" and "We want licenses now."
"People come to this country for opportunity. That's what we're fighting for," said Pablo Lopez, 44. Lopez said he was an illegal immigrant for 12 years and drove without a license, but was always afraid of getting stopped and deported.
"We come here to work hard and we have family that we have to protect. If we don't have a license, we won't be able to do that," he said.
Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (news - web sites) fulfilled a major campaign promise last week when he repealed the license law, signed in September by then-Gov. Gray Davis (news - web sites).
The extent of the boycott was not immediately clear. At 11.9 million, Hispanics make up about a third of the population of California.
The protest was planned to coincide with the feast of the Virgin of Guadalupe. Planned events included a march of school children in Los Angeles and rallies in San Jose and San Francisco.
At least one school system tried to pre-empt a student walkout. The Santa Ana district offered to raffle off a color TV for those who came to school, and sent home a note to parents urging them not to keep their children home.
In downtown San Jose, more than 150 people set out on a march to the Department of Motor Vehicles.
Jesse Castaneda, 38, said Friday's strike is just a start.
"It's kind of awakening a sleeping giant," said Castaneda, who is Mexican-American. "They talk about illegal immigration, and they want to get rid of all the illegal immigrants. What would happen at a state level if that were to happen? They'll realize that we are needed here."
Another target of the boycott was Clear Channel, which owns 1,200 radio stations nationwide and broadcasts a Los Angeles-based talk show that Hispanics say frequently attacks immigrant rights. Clear Channel did not immediately return calls.

Guess what. Even the most conservative projectiions place Mexicans as the overwhelming majority in the United States by 2030.

Actually, quite a few folks are fighting it and yes, that is absolutely correct, politicians are turning deaf ears and blind eyes to it. What you don't mention is the communists in the fed gov are actively encouraging it to continue. For them, it is easy votes. Pass benefits, get cheap votes. The money is coming out of the pockets of folks that are not going to vote for their traitorous hides anyway which is why soooo many commie politicians are sucking up to the illegals.
It is also the feds that have propagandised the illegals issue with the LEA's to demonised anyone speaking out against it and arresting anyone that tries to stop them. It doesn't mean it won't work. It just means there is more work to be done educating the public that a bunch of diseased uneducated racist third worlders is NOT a good thing for this country.

This is blindingly obvious to anyone that read the history of that area. There was no appreciable black population in that area until the whites came along and built the infrastructure. Roads, water systems, sewer systems, power plants etc. Once that was built, the blacks started showing up because they could live in a cheap apartment instead of a mud hut. Everything was just peachy till a bunch of whining commie libs got into government back in the UK and proclaimed that they knew better how the country should be run than the people that lived there. Thirty years later . . . the former breadbasket of Africa is a stinking $hithole. Did the Rhodies fight it? Of course, the Rhodesian forces were the finest that have ever existed in modern times. Some things they did then can not be duplicated by our own forces today. They were sold out by guess what? Politicians in "government." A LOT of people learned some very hard lessons from that era and they are not forgetting the lies that were spewed by government at the changeover. Every single thing that the opposition forces said would happen did happen. And in spades. Many are right here in America and have passed along that knowledge of the demise of the "Shining Star of Africa." Those same lies are being used today on this issue.
The facts here are . . . will the population of this country allow themselves to be overrun with mexicans? Fortunately, even the polls that are run by the biased communist agenda media consistently indicate the illegals are not wanted here, and a LARGE majority want them gone. Personally I agree. If they are so hard working, honest and law abiding as a people, they can go back to mexico and be honest, hard working and law abiding there. Well, the facts indicate that as a people they are NOT honest, hard working and law abiding. They are mexicans. From mexico. With all of its connotations.
When the dust clears from the next election, what is "done" regarding this issue will sharply influence the future events in this country. One way or another, the issue will be settled. Whether it is settled in a proper lawful manor is strictly up to the feds. They can enforce the current laws, close the border and methodically deports the illegals. The ones that are left will assimilate into the population. The ones that don't will not be successful and will, over time, disappear.
Or the fed gov can chose to not enforce the law. When the issue becomes life or death from the illegals turning the u.S. into the richest third world $hithole on earth the Americans will turn on them and the illegals. Better to get the illegals out now than later, because later is gonna be bloody holocaust. Now will merely be enforcing the law. Later will be train loads and cattle cars.
Yes, I will be there, whichever way it goes. I would rather it happen now, through the federal law enforcement agencies that are, in theory, there to enforce such laws. I gladly pay the taxes that allow them to exist. But if they choose to not do their jobs, if they choose to allow the criminal invasion to continue to the point that life in America will loose a vast portion of its appeal, then many of those very same federal law enforcement agencies will be turned on by the very people that they think they are protecting. At that point it will not matter one whit what fancy toys and gadgets they have, it will be tough to beat most of the American population with less than 200,000 feds.

The border MUST close. If it does not, Americans will close it themselves.
If Americans have to close the border themselves the feds will go positively ape. When the few highly motivated Americans are shot at by the feds the massive majority of less motivated Americans will switch on that the feds are going to let America die, and then it will become a life or death situation for the majority of Americans.
At that point the Americans will do one of two things. One, elect whomever will close the border and get rid of the illegals. Or two, do it themselves, in which case any fed coming within a few miles of the border or any operation supporting the border closure forces will be stopped.
This will not go on for 20 years, this thing has a life of 2 to 5 years. What happens in the next 2 will determine how the remaining 3 will unfold.

Probably would not have mattered, if it was 23-30 they would have been herded together for a tight shot from the media covering the "event" and called it "the large number of protesters." They would be interviewed, asked intro questions, the background would be blocked by protest signs and the surrounding thousands of Americans going about their daily business looking at them for 3 seconds, mildly curious, would be totally ignored.

I don't get anything except what I make for myself. Walking around believing one "deserves" this or that is one of the bigest misconceptions humans can make. I do not have such neighbors or such a boss because of the enviroment I have made for myself, not somthing I would wake up to in the morning. However, if you believe that such an environment is "best," move to mexico.
