PS:
for the record, Chris was born February 3rd, 1972.
That's what's reflected on the Memorial, 1972 - 2003
Is this correct?

Yes, February 3rd is the correct date. Thankyou and sorry for all the bother... I'm never sure which way is down and which way is up anymore, my thinking has become rather seriously blunted by all this. The words and gestures of support I've had from people here are truly wonderful. No newspaper obituaries as yet, as the situation is rather complex. Chris's father is rather ill and his sister fears giving him the news right now of his son's death, might destroy him. For that reason, no obits in the California (or Oregon, where Chris died) newspapers in case news gets back to him from someone else... To get an obit in the Australian newspapers, I would need to provide a death certificate, and I don't have a copy of that document yet. I myself had to leave the United States temporarily back in July (I despised having to leave, but I despised even more the idea of becoming an illegal alien) and because of visa problems cannot be readmitted to the country for another 2.5 years. Long story. There are many people and organisations I am angry at right now. However, the loss of such a dear and gifted, if withdrawn, man, whom I was proud to call my husband - that fact merely fills me with an overwhelming sadness. R.I.P, Christopher.
