I'm sorry to have to report that one of our own Freepers, TrappedInLiberalHell, has passed away. His profile is HERE

I met Chris this past summer and found him to be a brilliant young man, who unfortunately carried around a lot of painful psychological troubles. He wrote few posts here, but was an active and clever noter, and a very sweet young man.

R.I.P., Chris van Loon
b. 3/2/72, d. 12/9/03

There is only one way to have Oliver -shared ownership??

Let's get married.

But be aware: I'm only in it for the dog.

Bug Report.

Darned Free Republic takes your post when you press the post button, not when you have your text the way you really want it.

...and old age with incessant pains follows all of those.

The optimist sees the bagel, the pessimist sees the hole.

that is a good point.. as I have added years I find that sometimes we do forget to see all the good & concentrate on problems... I know for myself a few health matters can be very powerful pain wise.. hard to focus sometimes on much else.

Amazing what we take for granted in our bodies/health & until the Norm is gone. The term aging gracefully comes to mind.. and it doesn't start at AARP.. it starts much earlier for many.

Taking the knowledge and knowing yourself while at the same time continuing to grow & stay active to me are helps. Keeping God at center is very important but for me often not done

Some days it's just putting one foot in front of the other. Other days it's a carefree lope. It's all good.

Awesum homepage!

Well, I am reading through this sad thread, sad, but good too because TrappedInLiberalHell was quite a guy, and is sore missed already.

It is very sad. I thank you for your post, because old e.e. said it very well. He is my very fave.

We have a Christmastime unexpected death in my family too. The pain never really goes away.

Condolences to Chris's family. It is a nice group here, that I will say. I sincerely hope we'll all be together in the great bye-and-bye.

"How about everyone pitch in a couple dollars each to the Freerepublic in his name? He loved this site and would want it to go on forever."

Ive done that and agree Chris would approve, but Dolli got Fiona to admit she is having financial troubles last night, It would be good to figure out a way to send her some funds. A paypal account was suggested if she has one. But we dont know that she does yet. Or if she would accept it.

"Something GOOD is coming out here on FR as a result of this thread."

So true Neet. As important as alot of politics are, as much as we love to discuss them...somehow most subjects pale in comparison to this thread imo.

Of course, beating democrats in 2004 is close. ;o

"Good L-rd. What a pisshole any man is for killing a woman like that. You've been through hell and back. You are lucky to be alive."

lol yeah ive thought the same many times. The temptation is to blame it on on my moms screwing around. But my dad could have be stronger, avoided going off, and scored a new woman.

Your posts crack me up, one the other day comes to mind: "Your head is composed largely of Bone"..

Yeah. Big time. When a chick messes around on me, I toss her under the bus and move on. Finding a new woman has never been my weak suit.

Um, I mean that 'toss under the bus' figuratively.

But one thing's for sure: Difficult times make a person grow. You got a head start on your growth over the rest of us.

Your posts crack me up, one the other day comes to mind: "Your head is composed largely of Bone"..

Another satisfied customer. :o)

Ive lived long enough now to know mountains follow the valleys, peace follows the storms. And so it is. Bless you and yours.

Thank you. I guess if it waere all mountains or valleys it would get boring and we would not fully appreciate either. Sort of like being sick makes one appreciate health.

Happy Holidays to you and yours facedown.
