SUNNYVALE, Calif. (Wireless Flash) -- American freeways may be better pick-up places than bars or weddings because 62 percent of drivers love to flirt while behind the wheel.

That's according to a car survey by Yahoo!Autos, which also reveals that an additional 62 percent admit they find potential love partners more attractive if they drive a nice car.

That's not all: 69 percent talk to their car and 52 percent have even given it a name.

Finally, 49 percent believe their car is a woman; 29 percent say it's a man and 22 percent can't make up their minds

Oh, heck. Every high school boy and middle-aged Miata driver already knows this. It doesn't always work too well, though. I noticed that most of the admiring glances I got in my Miata were other middle-aged guys who were stuck driving mini-vans.

Finally, 49 percent believe their car is a woman;

Yeah, and alas, the old gal has a lot of miles on her, time to get something new and shiny... ;)

What?!! If I don't dream of my car as either a penis, or a vagina, it's because I can't make up my mind?!!

If I wanted d*ck, I would have bought a Ford.

My wife had a Ford when I met her.

But I married her anyway.

I agree, I got all kinds of women in High School driving my Camaro. When I drive my Classic 67 Mustang or my 66 Chevy Pick up (Old Yeller), I get alot of looks but not necessarily all from women. I think alot of people just like cars period, especially the Classics. However I do think that women take notice when you drive a really nice car and I must admit (although I won't tell my wife) I really like the silent flirting with these women. Yes ladies i'm a dog, so what.

We had a metropark near me where a lot of cruising around checking out members of the opposite sex went on. We used to say that a car was "a fat girl's best friend". >:)

22 percent can't make up their minds

I think this is in error. It should be, according to the uh - gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay agenda, 10%.
