This must be a pre-emptive strike by the Murray camp. She knows that her comments about Osama Bin Laden building roads and day care centers is going to be used against her. She is trying to set the stage for calling that "negative" campaigning so she can cry foul and play the victim when the ads come.

Could you please do a mass ping if you get a chance?

Osamma Bin Murray is going down !
To: Political Junkie Too
If I was the Rep out there I would run one ad over and over.
Patty "Osama Mama" Murray praising Osama's "charitable work" especially the part about building day care centers. I mean for God's sake how idiotic does one have to be to think the Tailban's patron was building day care centers?
To: John Lenin
I hope it gets nasty, because frankly, our stuff is far nastier then hers.
Realistically, I think we only have a 40% or so shot at winning this, but it's doable. I'd sure like to be able to have respect for ONE of my Senators.
Goddamn libertarian. I sure miss Slade.

The thing to do is get the RATS to spend big money defending her seat.

Assuredly.
Murray knows Nethercutt is a sane guy with a good grasp of science, technology, agriculture
and other issues important to keeping Washington state viable.
She's got to try to abort Nethercutt's campaign because if he gets any sort of traction,
she's in trouble.
Nethercutt should just say "Let's Send Murray Off To Osama's Day School"

Looks like the term "Osama Mama" (originally coined here on FR) has caught on. Maybe we should all chip in and buy Ms. Murray a burkha--one of the light blue kind that the Afghan women used to wear during her hero's reign of terror. It would definitely improve her looks.

The surest sign that the RATS are scared of this Wadhams guy is the fact that they're already complaining about him.

Osama Momma Murray has done a much better job representing Tom D'Aschole and the democRAT senate leadership than she has the people of the state of Washington. She votes however they tell her to.
Nethercutt cannot get dirty enough no matter how hard he tries, in my estimation.

Does anyone recall how Murray voted on the Iraq recovery funding bill? If she voted against this measure, one could connect her vote to her earlier statement concerning bin Laden into a powerful indictment of her lack of concern for national security.

But Matthew Felling, media director for the Center for Media and Public Affairs in Washington, D.C., thinks Murray's remarks are not getting attention because they largely were correct.

Well, I certainly can't take credit for the term Osama Mama, but I do believe I was the first to refer to the senior Senator from Washington as "The Osama Mama in Tennis Shoes."
I agree she'd look better in a burkha. We should get one for Hillary, too.

Murray is already playing the victim - based only on her opponent's hire for campaign director. Oh, poor Patty Murray. Of course the fact that she is an idiot could hurt her too - if only some of the latte-types wake up and smell the cappucino! (had to get in some coffee references as we're talking about Washington State). Nethercutt should plaster her statement about OBL being such a humanitarian everywhere throughout the state, and blast it out on the electronic media too.

A recent example came during the 2002 Senate race in Colorado, when Allard's opponent, attorney Tom Strickland, announced he was going to take a hike in the Rockies to tout his environmental record. Wadhams got his people to start up the mountain at 4:30 a.m., and they were holding Allard signs when Strickland climbed past, press corps in tow. Classic.

Patty will carry Puget Sound because the libs here don't mind that she's stupid as long as she's a woman, makes the right anti-American bleating noises, and criticizes Bush. Her staff is renowned for some of the dirtiest politicking in the history of the state. It isn't a question of whether Nethercutt is going to run her type of a campaign, it's only a question of if he's going to be nasty enough.
