A grumpy customer was the source of luck for Loretta Morris who works at the Northville Market.

We have a policy in our store to ask for a driver's license when someone buys lottery tickets, cigarettes or alcohol,'' Is that standard in Connecticut. Sounds odd.

Is that standard in Connecticut. Sounds odd. 'You must be 18 to play.'
If the grump looked like he might be 17, nothing odd about it.
Policy may vary from store to store though.

The federal taxes, I expected.. But the state tax is a crock of double-dipped horse s---.
The state keeps all the money earned by the sale of lottery tickets, other than the prizes, a tiny percentage.
Then the crumbs take part of those, too.
What a bunch of willing slaves we are.
