"Yeah right! I think even you know what I mean."
If I knew what you meant, I wouldn't have asked. Perhaps you don't know what you mean either, since you've yet to explain it.
"I could be wrong in assuming you're just an a$$."
Hello, pot. This is kettle. You are Black.

I didn't say he was. It wouldn't matter though -- its not like I'm voting for Dean. I mean those godless American heathens are going to elect him anyway right? Serves 'em right. Man I'm a convert to your way of thinking now. You don't need to insult me you've won. Down with Bush -- up with whoever. Bill Clinton elected twice. American people are Guilty as charged. You are in denial.

American people are Guilty as charged. You are in denial. Your absolutely right. Americans suck and America sucks too. Us "real" patriots need to form our own government based on the Constitution.
Naturally we'll have to deport or execute all of the citizens of the "old" country since they are too stupid and sinful to live in ours.
Sign me up Sarge. /sarcasm

Your absolutely right. Americans suck and America sucks too. Spare me your red herring sarcasm. Did or did not America elect Clinton twice and give Gore more votes than Bush? Yes or no? What is your excuse for that? Is that a moral people electing these slobs? Think again Einstein.

The problem is simple, really. For far too long, the liberal Media have defined the debate in gradations of leftist theory, flanked by the extroadinarily extremist left on that side and "Right Wing Extremists" (without gradation) on the right.
When one group is burning condos in Vail, Colorado, the groups who want to just keep people from getting to out-of-the-way places seem (almost) reasonable. Other options (such as taking care of your own land) are not discussed or even presented, being part of the "Right Wing Extremist" view.
All major issues have been presented this way, with gradations of liberal solutions to problems, real and especially imagined, and only the most extreme Right Wing solutions (if any) presented. The liberal gradations are presented as "reasonable" solutions, and the "Right Wing Extremist" viewpoint accompanied by picktures of KKK and Neonazis (Even though Nazis are Socialists by definition, and belong on the left).
This has shifted the debate completely out of the conservative arena. You are either for some form of more gun control, or slaughter in the streets, according to the Media.
Others:
You are either for a woman's right to choose what happens to her body (and slaughter the unborn) or you are for mothers dying giving birth to horribly malformed microcephalic offspring of rape and incest.
Sign the Kyoto treaty or poison the planet.
Save every little species in an undisturbed habitat, no matter the cost or all life will perish from the Earth. , etc., etc., etc.
You have seen it, you have heard it, now is it any wonder that over a decade of this type of issue presentation by the media has had an effect on the way issues are perceived or debated?
Until the ability to define the issues in a conservative light in a meaningful arena is a reality, this situation will continue to get worse.
If the gun control debate were over private ownership of artillery pieces, if the abortion debate were over whether abortion should be used to save the mother's life, if the environmental debates were over whether the government has a right to intrude into private property which does not affect others, or whether a school has any business playing social worker, we would live in a very different culture. These options are never presented.
All right wing views are presented as extremism, not just the extreme ones, and this will continue to cost conservatives their rights and standing in the political world.

And you're willing to write off the Americans who voted against Clinton twice and Gore once? Does the fact that we were a minority each time make us immoral? If so, by voting for the Constitution Party you're trying to enable us to be immoral again.
My excuse for our losing is that more people voted for the Dims. Dims do dominate teaching positions (college and K-12 unions), pulpits of old-line churches, and the largest media outlets. Maybe hard work can change that.

If so, by voting for the Constitution Party you're trying to enable us to be immoral again. Don't put words in my mouth, just read what I wrote. Liberalism is a mental delusion - rarely if ever do such people turn the other way. On the contrary, their ranks grow every year with the influx of more democratic voters from Mexico and other 3rd world countries, and yes, you are right, from the universities and govt. schools who indoctrinate everyone into liberalism and secular humanism. As Lincoln said, "the philosophy of the classroom today will be the philosophy of government tomorrow" and this is coming true before our eyes!
Conservatives haven't one anything. In fact, the Bush Admin. is a brief interlude - America is on a moral freefall - anyone can see that. Know any other civilizations in history that have legalized gay marriage? Hint: There aren't any! And immoral people love democrats.

America has been invaded by 40 million 3rd worlders and many who call themselves conservatives are too apathetic to vote.

Does it really make a difference which party destroys America?
Hahahahaha...
In the midst of a bashfest, you have raised the art of cynicism to a new level.
You really got to me with that one.

Conservatives constantly differentiate between conservatives and republicans a base of convenience, IMO. In '92, Conservatives told the GOP "screw you" and stayed home or voted for Perot, etc. Now the GOP is looking to the center for votes and conservatives wonder why.Your analysis is laughable. Anyone interested in learning the importance of conservatives to the GOP should read Lee Edwards' The Conservative Revolution: the Movement that Remade America. Apparently you miss the good old days of the Rockefeller wing running the show.

I'll count you as another conservative for Dean.Dean is as missing in action as the President's National Guard records, my friend.

"A base of convenience".
Conservatives have a better history of voting 'for the good of the party' when their candidate loses the primary, than do the GOP's liberals and moderates- who have a long record of attacking candidates to their right and refusing to support them in general elections. Goldwater and Reagan both received this treatment on several occasions, as have less well known candidates, like Hershchensohn in California. Lee Edwards' book is a good history of the relationship between the GOP and its conservative members.
I agree with you that it is possible to get conservatives to stay home, but the GOP has had to work at alienating them to make that happen. Bush the Elder signed five bills that would have made a Democrat proud, not just the tax hike. Dubya would keep conservatives in his camp if he'd stop poking them in the eye.
