Why just blame the Supreme Court? Why not blame the legislature for passing it, and President Bush for signing it? Seems like everyone was passing the buck.

We don't have a real government any more, we just have the Rule of Five (black-robed commissars).

If and when they declare the 2nd amd pertains today only to the national guard, or other such nonsense, they will learn that the Rule of Five is not the final rule, not the last trump card in the deck of liberty.

The founders put the 2nd amd into the BOR for a reason, and it had nothing to do with duck hunting.

Once the courts make the precedent that the Constitution may be ignored/violated whenever there is sufficient compelling state interest, the Constitution becomes a dead letter. Of course, that precedent was set long ago, so today's ruling may open some eyes, but the Consitutuion died a long time ago.

The first step in solving a problem is admitting it exists. The second step is recognizing its nature. As a socieity, we aren't there yet.

The SC was our last hope. Apparently they don't understand "congress shall pass no law" either. They won't toss the "patriot" act or anything else after this. They don't recognize that any federal gun law is obviously unconstitutional. They are useless. And as long as Redemopublicrats stay in office, there will be no fixing it. Vote them out.

The First Amendment. It's not number 10, number 7 - not number 19. It's #1!

Gosh Rush! I can't believe you made such a dumb mistake. But you are in "good" company. Jane Pauley made an identical mistake several years ago on Dateline. You see, the amendment we normally call "the 1st Amendment" was actually the 3rd. The first two amendments failed ratification.

What I am trying to say is: "ALL 10 AMENDMENTS ARE EQUALLY IMPORTANT. THE ORDER WAS, AND IS, IRREVELANT!

Geesh!!!

The question now is: "Can a candidate be sodomized 60 days before a general election."

Well, apparently the American People can be.

I in general support CFR but not in the convoluted form it took on. That said, I saw rabid Bush supporter after Bush supporter report and flame that he did the politically correct thing by signing it and allowing the supremes to judge it unconsititutional. They fawned he knew what he was doing. That's after initially saying he (Bush) would veto any CFR legislation.

Let's see, which previous president did we say flip flopped and signed legislation that was bringing down this country before this one? Which president before this one did we say was unworthy of office because of such actions?

Where is our march on Washington?

That person who has been trashed cannot respond on television, can't buy a commercial, can't get a commercial run, can't do it. Got to be invited by the press to come on and counter.

I'm not sure this is true. Ads can run in this 30/60 day period. The money to fund the ad cannot be unregulated (above the hard money limits) or from incorporated organizations.

But, the RNC can respond to ABCNBCCBSCNN. (Heck, the media has been lopsided in favor of the Dimms for decades.)

The candidates' names can't be mentioned, but, as I understand this, there's no restriction on taking an ad to blast a Tim Russert interview or Peter Jennings "special".

This law is awful. But, it's here.

I hope minds sharper than mine are prepared to find and use the loopholes. We've got an election to win.

One omer reason to keep Second Amend, ent issues out of the Supreme Court.

The people on there now will abolish the Second amendment.

If that happen, privately Congress will applaud and publically will do nothing.

We lost our rights to free speech and choice back in the 60's and 70's when the Supreme court dictated "BUSSING" students to properly staffed and populated schools based on race.

The most amazing thing back then was there was NO OUTRAGE and NO POLITICAL price to pay. Today, it will only be OUTRAGE but no political price will be paid.

You make your bed and you lie in it to sleep.

"The court has given government..." This is the last paragraph in the story by Anne Gearan at the Associated Press. By the way, AP has a reporter named Nedra Pickler, and we're concerned about her job here at the EIB Network. We're going to be taking steps here to save the job of Nedra - maybe it's NEE-dra, I'm not sure how you pronounce it - Pickler. She's a reporter of the Associated Press. She's actually pointed out errors, mistakes and lies that the Democrats are uttering in their debates. Now, she hasn't gotten the message or she slipped by them in the interview process or something, but if we don't take action fast here to save her job she's going to be toast.

Check that out! Wonder where that came from?

What about as a protest, writing a "personal ad" that names McCain and Fiengold (or others who supprted CFR) and having individuals place the add in newspapers across the country.

Sample

Not-Wanted
Politicians like McCain and Fiengold
that flout "The Constitution" of The United States of America.
Congressman __________, voted to limit free speech.
Tell Congressman __________ you disagree - vote against him.
(Feel free to place this same add in your local paper)

End Sample

Anybody also think this idea is worth consideration?
