I find it ironic that the RATS were so eager to push Campaign Finance Reform. The bill effectively prevents liberal special interest groups like labor unions, NAACP, NARAL, and GreenPeace from broadcasting ads that slam Republicans.

And no matter what we say about the internet, the vast majority of people still get their info from the three mousketeers on the evening news and the major newspapers which have far and away liberal editiorial sections.

Once this gets in their way, they will simply shop around for a judge to let them bypass it, or they'll just ignore it altogether. At the same time, they'll hold Republicans to it.

They wanted it because individuals such as Soros can spend his money doing it and thereby saving the Party Coffers if I am not mistaken and understand the bill the way I have heard it explained.
Most rich liberals are kooky enough to spend their money and attach their names to these adds. Most rich Conservative Republicans like their counterparts in Congress will not really stand and fight and put their name out there.
Of course I could be wrong about part of this statement only time will tell.

No, it doesn't. They just have to organize themselves differently.

Dan Jennings, Peter Brokaw, Tom Rather, and all their local news imitators can always "interview" "experts" from these organisations, in the course of some sort of "news report" dealing with "important issues". Simple, effective, and legal.
