Exactly.. start in the center and move a bit to the left or to the right... Bush cannot go after independents on which this election depends on by implementing a "radical right-wing" strategy. This is already being trumpted by the alphabet nets, PBS and most journalists who are pro Democrat and automatically pro dim nominee...
He has to play a fine line and unfortunately has to deal with the cards he is played, otherwise he is made to look like a rabid conservative which he is already made to look like now if you look at the debates. And a majority of the people are not Freepers who read inbetween the lines and know the issues...

If conservatives play their cards well here there is no doubt that it will position the country for a move to the right very easily. If Bush is re-elected he has a mandate. Secondly the country is evenly devided by very pursuaded by fear of the threats of getting bombed into oblivion. Sitting back and doing nothing is the current vision of the Dim's. Americans may be slothful and easily distracted but the vast majority is gonna vote for the best solution to protect their arses.

Pickup seats in the congress and definately in the Senate. We have a killer advantage here let's not blow it!

Then the fight legislation will be moving to the right because power will become intra-party. The dims will just be sitting back and taking it right up their holes 365 for for 4 more years.
