From what I understand, the records were sealed because there were numerous private letters to him from his constiuents - and it wouldn't be fair for reporteers to read the lifestories of people that wrote to him in cpnfidence. I have no problem with that.

As far as the military: I have not heard Dean say he would cut any military spending with regards to technology, the weapons, or the forces. He is for staying in Iraq as long as it will take to finish the job there.

As far as his liberal social stance - it doesn't make a difference because he believes such issues should be determined by the states - and he'll have nothing to do with that if he were president.

He doesn't appear to me to be a liar. He answers questions directly, even if they are unpopular answers. I respect that in a person, even if I disagree with them. It shows conviction and sincerity.

As far as this 9/11 theory -- he evidently mentioned that there was such a theory (which there is). He didn't say he believed it. The people responsible for 'spreading' the theory are the people interviewing him who keep bringing it up.

The fact that Bush and the other Republicans signed that Medicare Bill and the CFR and No Child Left Behind is very disapointing to me. I'm conservative because I want LESS big government, LESS programs, MORE issues left to the states. I'm not seeing this at all.

I really think that the Dean Internet Machine is out in full force getting as "conservatives" and trying to put a false position on their man... Have you even heard Dean on TV. The guy has to take ridalin or something to bring down his BP.. I mean the anger and the vitriolic hatred...
I would recommend everyone to read the following link where David Brooks talks about Dean "My moment of illumination about Howard Dean came one day in Iowa when I saw him lean into a crowd and begin a sentence with, "Us rural people. . . ."

Dean grew up on Park Avenue and in East Hampton. If he's a rural person, I'm the Queen of Sheba. Yet he said it with conviction. He said it uninhibited by any fear that someone might laugh at or contradict him.

It was then that I saw how Dean had liberated himself from his past, liberated himself from his record and liberated himself from the restraints that bind conventional politicians. He has freed himself to say anything, to be anybody...

Dean runs less on biography than any other candidate in recent years. When he began running for president, he left his past behind, along with the encumbrances that go with it...

The newly liberated Dean is uninhibited. A normal person with no defense policy experience would not have the chutzpah to say, "Mr. President, if you'll pardon me, I'll teach you a little about defense." But Dean says it. A normal person, with an eye to past or future relationships, wouldn't compare Congress to "a bunch of cockroaches." Dean did it."
The guy is as phony as a 2 dollar bill....

Have you seen FNC Special Report tonight .. apparently Dean has been caught in a few lies on his stance about the Iraq war an whether he think Saddam posed a threat to us

Then there is this ..

Schedule details Dean’s U.S. travels

Dean’s schedule, released this week after three Vermont newspapers sued for access to it, shows a hectic campaign itinerary that has gotten busier with each passing month.

Some of the highlights include private meetings with Presidents Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton, both of whom Dean sought out for political advice, as well as the man who plays a president on television, Martin Sheen, the fictitious president on NBC’s “West Wing.”

Dean said that Bush's records as Governor were sealed -- LIE -- they were never sealed and when confronted he did not change his tune.

If you don't think Dean lies, then there is absolutely no point in my talking to you -- you have made up your mind.
