FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

TASK FORCE “ALL AMERICAN” CAPTURES SPANISH ATTACKERS

LUTAFIYAH, Iraq – At 2:00 am this morning, paratroopers from 3rd Brigade, 82d Airborne Division with the assistance of Iraqi police conducted Operation Panther Squeeze, a series of 18 raids in Lutafiyah to kill or capture individuals believed to be responsible for the attack against Spanish forces on November 29th. The cooperation efforts between the coalition forces and Iraqi police contributed to the great success of this operation.

During the raids, 15 primary targets were captured with a total of 41 enemy personnel taken for questioning. Those captured included the cell leader Abu Abdullah, an intelligence officer, financier, and a doctor who treated terrorists so they can avoid treatment at local hospitals, and the actual attackers.

A vehicle was also confiscated that may have been used in the recent assassination of the Lutafiyah Police Chief.

Since November 29th, we have been able to gather a significant amount of human intelligence in Lutafiyah. Intelligence collection in the area prior to the attack against the Spaniards was very difficult, but now there are indications that terrorist activities are no longer tolerable to the average citizen there.

Poor headline choice by the military press officers.

But it's good news. I hope we get all of these scumbags. Spain is still in national shock over this incident. They, ummm, haven't fought a real war in a long time and didn't seem to grasp that they could have casualties. We need to stand very firmly with them. Their leadership has been very strong against the terrorists and in backing us up internationally at the most critical junctures in the Iraq affair. And with their strong economy and population, Spain is a real player in Europe, an upcoming power in the EU if they can stay the course.

Email from a friend.

Hi Folks,

This past Tuesday I was flying from Columbia SC back to Seattle and had a short lay over in Atlanta. As I walked toward my gate I saw several young folks in Army fatigues and then during a routine stop in the men's room one of the young men (Sgt. John Schwebel from Houston, TX) was grooming himself at the sink. I asked of his presence and he laid down his razor, sat on the counter and proceeded in a lengthy conversation with me. Undoubtedly he was anxious to talk to folks about his experiences. I will attempt to summarize 20 minutes of dialogue:

* He said we (USA and President Bush) were absolutely right in going into Iraq.
* He is concerned that folks here are not getting the full story about all the reasons for going--about how evil & cruel Saddam, his sons and the whole regime were and still are.
* His unit is there to build relationships and help the transition to Iraqi control.
* We talked about the dangers there--he is stationed in Takreit--and he said it is terrible but not unbearable. The Iraqis are untrained, poorly equipped and not capable of tough combat but there are really tuff insurgents from Saudi Arabia, Libya, Jordan, Syria and he also mentioned a couple more which I can not remember.
* He projected that the USA must remain in Iraq for several years if we intend to liberate the folks. We need to have liberation as the goal not a time table for withdrawal.
* When asked about the progress he said it was slow but very certain and that each day he sees signs of folks believing us and losing some of there fear.
* This gentleman is a hero but he does not think so. He was a sailor and left the Navy years ago but right after 9/11 he joined the Army because he thinks so much of the USA and feels it his responsibility to work for world peace.
* When asked if he was alone in his thinking his response was---look around this airport---all these folks agree with me. We are all back for a couple weeks but anxious to return and finish our work.

Now, I am attaching a message that I got from an Everett friend and it certainly supports this man's view. Listen to these messages and ignore that bunch of clowns seeking the presidency that are bashing our country and our President. We can and will make the world a safer place to live.

I like the name 'Panther Squeeze'. --Kinda reminds me of Neal Boortz and his: 'That is a bunch of dog squeeze!' expression...

Good! I hope they rounded up the kids who were standing on the bodies as well. The dummies allowed themselves to be photographed and those photos can be used as evidence.

Thank you for sharing Sgt. John Schwebel's comments with us, B-Cause. He is not alone, and we're listening.

The list is mine. Freepers have been paying attention to the troops, and trying to get the truth out to the people, past the media for months now.

This one made it to the troops, and they got it to the press.

Sgt. Schwebel's comments would make a fine separate thread. If you should decide to post it, I'd be grateful for a ping.

We'll keep his comments close, no matter.

Once I heard that Japan is going to send 1,000 troops to Iraq to do reconstruction work
and no fighting, I got a nasty little idea (and surely illegal by the Geneva Convention).

Just throw an Arabic copy of "The Rape of Nanking" into the cell of
"the worst of the worst" captured Baathists and Jihadis.

Then tell them...we're turning you over to the Japanese peacekeepers tomorrow morning.
They've been itching to get back to what they do best...but haven't had the
chance for about 60 years.

Thank you RC.

Due to my travel and schedule, I don't often have a chance to post much here.

However, after all the negative "main-stream media" crap that we are all subjected to, it is a real pleasure to get the real story from Freepers like you.

I have lately taken to reading your bumps to me first, before delving into the main Forum. I have found that this puts me in a much more positive attitude.

Thank you for adding me to your Ping List, and for being a true Patriot!

Hey Ragtime, I don't know what a ping list is or how to ping someone, so this will have to do.

Per your request, click here to see the thread. Thanks for the response.
