He's a Constitution minded President.

You're the anti-Constitutionalist. Go to Liberia with your anarchy.

If opposing bans on issue adds within 60 days of an election makes on an anarchist, then you can label me an anarchist too. You should also label the NRA an anarchist organization because it opposed the 60 day ban as well. I suspect that you will also want to label Clarence Thomas and Antonin Scalia as anarchists based on their dissents from the Supreme Court's decision.

He's a Constitution minded President.

That is quite possibly the most inane comment I have ever seen on FR.

He's a Constitution minded President.

Oh yeah...that's why he signed the clearly unconstitutional McCain-Feingold bill. Any why he just signed a bill which significantly expanded entitlements (Medicare) that aren't constitutional in the first place. And while I agree with our effort in Iraq I'm going to point out that a "constitution minded" president would have had Congress pass an actual declaration of war first. While Bush is not nearly the enemy of the Constitution that Clinton was, Gore would have been, or any of the 9 dwarves could be, he certainly doesn't meet the description of "constitution minded."

What color is the sky in your world? He [President Bush] has signed laws which have trampled every single one of the first ten Amendments save number III.

I guess we can be thankful that he hasn't signed a law allowing the quartering of troops in private homes...yet.

There hasn't been a Constitution-minded President since the day McKinley was elected. The "modern" Presidents have all abused the power of their office, expanding the role of the Office well beyond Constitutional boundaries.
