Gee, everybody is still speaking freely right now.
When does that get cut off?

When the doom and gloomers help elect Dean and he gets to appoint another Ginsburg or Breyer.
Ads will be on the internet and direct mail. This hurts the liberal networks also. No revenue around election time.
The decision on the ad bans still sucks but there will be other ways to advertise.

Gee, everybody is still speaking freely right now. When does that get cut off?Right before the election. You won't be allowed to talk about it when it matters most, only when it doesn't matter.

Just give them a little more time.

Gee, everybody is still speaking freely right now. When does that get cut off? 60 days before the next election, actually something less than that before the first primary. Unless you just want to sing to the choir, that will still be allowed.
