You make some good points. However, I also see that it is a chance to fix a few things.

My basic question earlier in this thread of if the California recall would have happened without the internet has gone unanswered.

Seems like some(not the people pinged) just like to use FR to rant, IMO.

The Internet mitigated what big media tried to do. It certainly is a valuable way around Big Media. However, just imagine how much easier things would be with a "Fox Broadcast News" or adding a few more papers like the Washington Times and New York Post.
