I think it's pretty safe to say that the GOP majority in the house and senate will be gone by 2006. They don't deserve they power we trusted them with.

If we vote them out in a fit of single-issue petulance, then we will deserve a RAT majority we get. A RAT majority that will match the current hard-socialist-left makeup of that party, not the '90s centrist Bill Clinton version. Enjoy, if that's what you want!

Single issue?

It's pretty much every issue, from gun control to border control to now, speech control.

Single issue?! What happened to smaller, less intrusive government? They lied to us about that one too. They are getting ready to sneak through the extension of the assault weapons ban. Bush will sign it when it gets to him just he did CFR and the free drug give-away.

Yeah, and the GOP is really looking out for us. [/sarcasm] And the over-riding reason to keep sending them back to congress...."We won't screw you as fast as the other guys."

Unfortunately, there are more than one issue, and every day it seems, the GOP adds more:

Downpayment Aid OK'd for Poor Families(More Income Confiscation, Wealth Redistribution)
Bush aides anger GOP lawmakers on consular Ids(Open Borders for All)
UNESCO Welcomes US, For a Few Dollars More (Undoing Reagan)
$15b Sought to Fight AIDS(Bribes for African Dictators)
Lay off Arafat, Powell tells Israel(Double standard terrorism enablers)
Steel Tariffs Cost Jobs(Free trade party? Ha!)
The Sky’s the Limit: Medicare’s Upwardly Mobile Drug Cost Projections(Socialized Medicine, HillaryCare Lite)
Estrada withdraws name from court consideration(no support from GOP Senators)
'Bush totally against scrapping H1-B visas'
'Open Fields' bill would pay farmers to open lands to public use

ROTFLMAO! Bill and Shrillery, Centrists. Right.

Maybe if the heat is turned up, the frog will jump out of the pot after all.
