Agreed. Absent evidence, this is silly stuff. Dean could have been performing exams, pap smears, IUD placements, writing birth control prescriptions, etc. The only halfway plausible alternative is that Dean assisted with some abortions but is dodging that with some Clintonesque word-parsing and omission.

But think about it. Why would some one who is now viciously pro-abortion have any qualms preforming them in the past?

He was a conservative in his youth and a light bulb went off and and he became a liberal??? Logic and knowledge usually run in the opposite direction. No. This guy was an abortionist or he would open his records.

He could seal the names of the AIDS patients or their letters. This is just an excuse to cover his tracks. Pretty thin.
