Don't you think Dean might worry that if he is lying, one of his "patients" might out him (maybe for big bucks from whomever), with medical records to prove it, to utterly destroy him? The odds of this wild charge being true are very low, unless Dean is a total delusional sociopath, because if true, he will be exposed, if he performed a considerable number of abortions. Sometimes, this site slips into the madhouse category.

...unless Dean is a total delusional sociopath...

I vote for that one. Seriously, though, I find it almost impossible to believe that an Ob/Gyn could do work in Planned Parenthood clinics for years without performing abortions. This article is from the Washington Times, so we can all bet that this will be looked into more thoroughly, and won't be left at the accusation level. This is hugh.

Agreed. Absent evidence, this is silly stuff. Dean could have been performing exams, pap smears, IUD placements, writing birth control prescriptions, etc. The only halfway plausible alternative is that Dean assisted with some abortions but is dodging that with some Clintonesque word-parsing and omission.

"medical records to prove it"

The chances that a women (who isn't suing an abortionist) has her medical records is about 20 billion to one. I'm sure the PP he worked for no longer has his records (even if they do). I don't think they have to legally keep them this long.

Wishful thinking. But still it would be nice.

Let's suppose Dean actually gets caught in a lie of this magnitude. Dollars to donuts he will skate. A charge like this has absolutely no legs among his supporters, including the presstitutes. Remember the big flap about his alleged draft dodging? About Clinton's "I tried it but didn't inhale" confession.

And suppose the charge did have legs? Who would Democrats beleive? A respected Liberal doctor or some slut who was under anethestic at the time?
