As far as I'm concerned, a band of pretenders came into town; smelled an opportunity for a fundraiser; raised a little dust, and as they vanished into the night were heard to declare Terri 'saved' ( using a four word caveat ) "....for the time being....".

The last time this was heard was on November 23, 2003. This latest echo was heard on December 9th.

The Schindler family is stone broke, working through an attorney who's doing this for free. In my experience 'free' is a lawyer's heaven of fine print - a blindsided knockout punch.

The Schindler's are in a place where they must rely upon a group of volunteers, who they ( and we ) can only hope are not moles for the opposition, and have something beyond a vague notion about the task they've been assigned.

SO WHERE'S THE KEYES/TERRY CALL FOR CASH FOR THE SCHINDLER FOUNDATION???

Terri's as close to being murdered now, as she was before these professionals came into town AND 'saved' her.

Once again these professional fundraisers have the audacity to put out their cup behind a grueling fourteen days (???) they say was exhausted for Terri's cause. The Terri exercise broke 'em financially. Probably the reason for their sending out essentially the same spam at least three times that I can count.

"Should anyone be permitted to exaggerate their effectiveness, to achieve a purpose? I asked this question on 23 November of last year, when an almost mirror copy of a 'we saved Terri' spam was sent out from Keyes/Terry, and became the subject of a FR thread."

I realize this is a tardy addition to this thread. I only came across it as I'm revising the number of Terri threads on FR, and had to put in my two cents. Abusing Terri in any fashion gets on my bad side real quick.

The fact is I've been quite ill over the last few months, and as a consequence have not been an active FReeper. That is to say my condition is unchanged, but I feel I started something that needs updating from time to time. I'm nearing the completion of this exercise, and will post it in a day or two.

'Terri Thread Facilitators' - May He embrace you in His protection in the coming year, and through Him you reflect a wisdom critical to correcting the direction of our beloved nation. You have my wish for a healthy and prosperous new year.

We don't know that they won't be back or that they are not doing anything to help Terri anymore. Do we?

I think we should be careful not to burn any bridges.

Thanks for your work and concern. Here's hoping that things can get cleared up for the clear benefit of Terri and the Schindler family. I'll be keeping you in my prayers; take care & know you're missed :o( .

I think this is despicable!! The Schindler's TMO have not asked for money from anyone!! If Randall went there for his own agenda maybe we should make come calls to his church!!

I was working in DC during that time period on a number of conservative projects; in conjunction with the Keyes organization. EVERYONE there dropped EVERYTHING else to concentrate ALL efforts towards helping Terri.

I can attest that everything in this piece is accurate, and I resent your representation of any of these fine individuals as anything but honorable in all of this.

You are also grossly mistaken if you think Dr. Keyes' operations are anything but pure grassroots. They are consistently doing more to help the conservative movement than anybody else I know: and always with minimal funds.

The Left in general, and the left wing of the GOP, would like nothing more than for Keyes and those like him to shut up and go away.

My friend, I have past reasons on FR to respect you, but frankly you have bought lies in this case.

If there is anything wrong or dishonorable about conservative organizations or leaders asking those who share our conservative agenda and beliefs for the funds to continue such work; and if whiners in our ranks are going to make that somehow 'dirty', then we all might as well hang it up right now; there is no hope; the Left has won. Do you have similiar criticism of Jim for asking for the funds to continue FR? How about the GOP? All the other myriad organizations out there? Your church?

Come on. Grow up.

In closing, let me say that there were key victories won behind the scenes in this particular instance that would not have been won if it were not for Alan Keyes, Mary Parker Lewis, and to a lesser extent Randall Terry.

Sorry to hear you've been ill but you're just as divisive as ever. This old thread should be put out to pasture. We may need Alan Keyes again as early as next week. Seriesly.

When I hear Bob Sr., Bob Jr., Suzanne, and/or Mary making these statements about Randall Terry, I will believe your charges. Until then, I know exactly what happened in Pinellas Park, Florida from October 13 through October 21 because I was there closely participating in the efforts to save Terri's life...and those efforts were lead by Mr. Randall Terry.

Randall put his heart and soul into helping the Schindler family save Terri's life during that very critical week. Randall Terry is one of the most humble and gracious guys I've ever met in my life. You would be fortunate to know him.

Terri's mom told ME that she loves Randall Terry and everything he did for Terri and the Schindler family. I heard tell me this with my own ears.

Why can't you pick on someone else for a change? Surely there is a filthy, disgusting, despicable liberal creature out there that is more worthy of your wrath than Randall Terry and Alan Keyes...

How about Michael Moore, Al Franken, Howard Dean, Wesley Clark, Hitlery Rotton-Clintscum, ZipperBillWillieSlickster, Algore, Teddy "Gill Man" Kennedy, John "Breck Girl" Edweirds?...the list goes on and on and on Drobot.

I think it's pretty crappy of you to bash someone who is on the side that wants to save Terri's life. All of this energy you are expending while criticizing Randall Terry could be put to a lot better use, my friend...such as writing letters and/or emails that would help save Terri's life...such as getting the message out about Terri's situation. Do you ever pray for Terri? Do you ever call talk shows and discuss Terri's situation and try to rally others to get involved in the efforts to save her?

This should stop Drobot. This is shamefully shameless. The pro-Death forces that seek to end Terri's life would be very grateful to you for your willingness to attack Randall Terry because this means you are not attacking them.

Try to remember who are your real friends and who are your real enemies, Drobot. Believe me. You need to focus on the real enemy and that would be Michael Schiavo and George Felos, not Randall Terry.

I agree that something smells a little 'off' with Randall. I'm not close to the scene down there, but my spidey sense is tingling. I do not know much about Keyes.
