Barb's hubby is close to Bush/Rove. Expect her to get the Rove push. She's got at least 10 different things that make her a great candidate.

Some good possible candidates, but one point about SD politics is the "west river" factor. People clearly connected to Sioux Falls--e.g. former Sioux Falls mayor Gary Hanson, Sioux Falls business woman Barb Everest etc. will not gain GOP votes much west of Highway 81 and certainly not west of the Missouri River. To the west river folk Sioux Falls is a suburb of Minneapolis and not representative of the rest of the state. The further west in the state the stronger the sense of distance from Sioux Falls.
