John BreauxDoes John Breaux become any part of this equation now? He could now resign from the Senate, have a democrat appointed to replace him, become the VP nominee to bring in the South and moderate democrats, then if defeated go on with his plans of consulting... Wasn't he supposed to make some decision/announcement by mid Dec.?

No, it'll be Bob Graham. Dean has already said it will be someone with DC experience who shares his views. Breaux doesn't fit that mold at all.
