During one of the last debates, every Dem candidate punted when asked about their stand on Israel. In some cases, I think it may have been Brian Williams, the candidates were asked twice, still no answer.
Watching a Dem debate is particularly funny, and frustrating at the same time. Candidates literally ignore questions and either completely change the subject or provide some sort of Clintonian spin and twist answer. And there is only one Clinton, and the nine dwarves ain't no Clinton.

I agree. Also, if the cited exit poll data and the anecdotal fundraising information are both true, this is a very important report. It would mean that (i) a significant number of American Jews have finally recognized that a McGovernite foreign policy and a Mondalian tax policy are not in their interest and (ii) they are willing to state this realization publicly. Very good news indeed.

After listening to the barrage of anti-Semitism arising from the far-left, is it any wonder why Bush is getting more support. Especially when you see some of these more extreme Democratic presidential candidates actually appearing at rallies where some in the audience aren't just pro-Palstinian...they're vehimently, anti-Israel. The Democrats are also making a big mistake everytime they or their constituents compare Bush with Hitler and Fascism: While the rhetoric may fire their side up, such comparisons do great damage and minimize the suffering of Jews that experienced that brutallity first-hand. It's an insult.

In a world where the three ideologies competing for world domination are Islam, European secular socialism and American Judeo-Christian capitalism, which system better serves us all, no less Jews?

I've been trying to explain to people around here for a while now, that there is a sea change underway with regards to Jewish political affiliation in the US. The elder generation, for whom socialism was anti-Nazism, is dying out. In their place are a lot of Jews for whom the US' Israel policy is the best indicator of who to vote for in order to avoid another Holocaust here.

He said that some of the Democratic candidates for president have been good on Israel-including some with long track records of support for the Jewish state-but it is impossible to be sure they will always side with the Jewish state when things get difficult.Major concession, that. A couple more blunders by Dean could seal the deal, hopefully.

"In the central core of some of these organizations in the Jewish community there is a pro-Bush chorus," Forman said. "But if you look at the general electorate, it isn't happening." I know 2 Jewish Liberal professors at one of the most liberal universities. For the first time in their life, they admitted last week, that they are questioning their own liberal stance and taking a good look at what they called brain dead Republicans 3 years ago.
To watch any of the democrat debates and come away thinking that democrats are and will remain pro-Israel, would take some very stupid people, and that is something that the Jewish population is not.
