The Hate Bush rally: Hilarity from the unfunny
WorldNetDaily ^ | 12-8-03 | Doug Powers

The empty ideals, full wallets and stuffed egos came out in force at the Beverly Hills Hilton, recently, for a fund-raising and organizational meeting of the utmost importance. They're planning to face down a global political problem that, if it isn't gotten rid of, could mean the end of their way of life, and perhaps even the world as we know it.

This Hollywood fund-raiser displayed some of the usual walking oxymorons – the wealthy bankrupt, the mansioned homeless, the environmentalist polluters, the fantasy-world realists and gated-neighborhood communers with nature.

They were gathered to focus all their attention and any spare resources not already dedicated to the upkeep of 10,000 square foot estates to – once and for all – eradicate the world of its most frightening menace.

Kim Jong-Il? Nope.

Al-Qaida? Nah.

No, this time they're focusing on the real enemy. The man who makes their hands shake in anger to the point where it creates surf-able Doppler waves in their Evian. The man who is single-handedly stripping away all freedoms in this land – except, apparently, the freedom to make really lousy movies and TV shows.

The real threat to them is ... President Bush. He must go, so they say. Will he? If he does, it won't be due to anything that this collection of ivory-tower free-timers does or says.

Those celebrities in attendance – some who are famous simply because they're married to the famous – were joined in spirit by other actors, producers and musicians nationwide who were too busy that day making lots of money to focus on defeating the greedy.

What did they decide to do in order to kick Bush out of office? If you were a fly on the wall at that meeting, you would have been perfectly safe from flyswatters – the place was crawling with animal-rights activists. Other than that, you would have no doubt heard some of the most inane discussion to come out of Hollywood since the initial production meeting for "Cop Rock."

The odds are that the Hollywood left hasn't learned what doesn't work. Even if they have, they'll figure that what didn't work just wasn't tried hard enough. They may decide to get Alec Baldwin to make even dumber and more hateful comments (check out PETAB, the "People for the Ethical Treatment of Alec Baldwin", for a couple of examples). Perhaps some of the money raised will be used to fly Sean Penn back to Baghdad in the hopes that exposing more Iraqis to a Western moron will somehow make Bush look bad.

What a quandary for attendees at the "Bush bash." To figure out how to override the votes of the people in America who may put George W. Bush back in the White House, all the while knowing it's those same people from whom they made their money. That's why they can never quite tell the truth about their motives – they don't want to eat the hands that feed them.

Once they gather up all the money, then the fun begins. They'll have no idea or plan, other than abject buffoonery, so their heavily financed attempts to flush Bush out of office will end up being a sort of "Three Stooges Win The Lotto" kind of slapstick fiasco.

Leftist celebrities wildly overestimate the power of their own opinion.

This is how we end up with pop culture ne'er-do-well movements like the "Rock the Vote" push, which should be an insult to the intelligence of younger-aged voters and potential voters everywhere. To think that – if Moby, Jennifer Aniston and the bald Tinkertoy from REM tell us to vote – we lemmings will gladly leap off whatever political cliff they do, should be an insult of biblical proportions.

These people can really get full of themselves. Years ago, my wife and I saw Don Henley in concert. Some great music, but in order to hear it, those in attendance were forced to put up with a sanctimonious monologue about saving Walden Woods that would have made Thoreau himself take his own life. We came to hear "Boys of Summer" and "Hotel California," and ended up nearly violating federal law by wringing the neck of an Eagle.

Some of these leftist celebrities may actually have in mind their version of what's best for the country. They may actually think they're doing the right thing. Their heart is in the right place. The problem for them is that their brains oftentimes aren't.

It's a good thing these people don't realize how "average Americans" view them. If they did, they'd know that their meeting at the Beverly Hills Hilton was a big feather in the cap of the "Re-elect Bush" campaign.

And the more these "Hate Bush" events get publicized, the more the cockroaches get exposed by the light.

Hey. Wait a minute. These people are the " rich."
I thought the wealthy were suppose to be liberal enemies? Only the poor "victims" are suppose to have rights.
Isn't this another clear example of left wing hypocracy?

Liberals have the minds of children. It's true. They've never matured.

Sounds like a workable definition for insanity.

Since when did rulers start listening to their court jesters for policy advice?

Start chanting. Shut up and sing. Shut up and sing. Shut up and sing.

Republicans should finance these hate Bush rallys, because I don`t think the re-elect Bush campaign could be anymore effective than this. Even my Grandmother who is a 90 year old life long liberal Democrat is gonna vote for him because she is so disgusted by this stuff. Bush should send them all a personalized thank you note when he wins by the biggest landslide in American history

GO DEAN!!!!

Everybody needs to jump on the Howard Dean bandwagon. Change your party and vote for Dean in the primaries. We need a Dean landslide.

Remember, the better Dean does the worse the Klintoons look.

Note: I would not encourage anyone to change their political party from the sane to the insane. Just doing it to get Dean the nomination sounded like a good idea. You then have to shower for a week to get the stench off.

Artists and entertainers were exalted by the powerful elite long before democracy and capitalism came on the scene. There is no fear of socialism or despotism within this community of guilt-ridden nouveau-riche, and unlike the rest of us these people feel no debt to either democracy or capitalism for their station in life.

To compensate for their (apparently) psychologically overwhelming good fortune, they live to be seen as sticking up for the downtrodden, the servant sector which they view from on high, with obvious disdain for what the "little people" think.

To me it's a sick craving for acceptance from people who adulate them without really knowing them, it's as if they're trying to DESERVE IT after the fact.

Funny, when I first saw this all I could think of is where is Max Sennet when you need him? Surely there was no shortage of potential Keystone Cops there.

But isn't. Seems like it's a pretty tight shot group to me.

To think that – if Moby, Jennifer Aniston and the bald Tinkertoy from REM tell us to vote – we lemmings will gladly leap off whatever political cliff they do,

And you will, too. You've demonstrated that several times. Both times William the Impeached won. The time She Who Must Not Be Named was anointed to the Senate.

should be an insult of biblical proportions.

Don't say, "biblical" - it's hate speech. Accurate hate speech, I'll grant you.
