I think you're being a bit too narrow in your definition of what qualifies as a "metro area." Here's the Mirriam-Webster definition of "metropolis":

Thank you for the dictionary link, but that is not the point the study he cited listed Pine Bluff with bigger cities such as Memphis under the category of metro. Yet across the page was a listing for presumbably big cities not including Pine Bluff.

Last time I checked Memphis would be considered a big city, not to be listed in the same category as Pine Bluff.

At any rate, we can aleast agree to disagree. You can be happy in your freedom of being released from your "hard labor" served in Pine Bluff. And I will continue to try to improve the city in which I live.
