You can't judge someone by their first show. I noticed that Wallace let some real good ones fly over his head but I put that off to nervousness. Hopefully he'll get better at catching the obvious as he becomes more comfortable.
I'm withholding judgement for awhile.

Actually, I have. I tend to be suspicious of narrow-agenda newbies - many of them turn out to either be disruptors or returning banees.
I second that though, Dirtboy.

Stossel is under contract for a couple more years. I watch the show for Brit Hume, who takes no crap from anybody, and is highly intelligent.

That's exactly why I want Juan to stay. He occasionally provides comic relief.

I thought Dean did say something newsworthy but Wallace never thought to press him on it.
From the transcript:
WALLACE: But aren't those legitimate issues, whether it's a woman's right to choose versus right to life, whether there should a national ban on assault weapons, gay rights?
I mean, aren't those issues -- I have to say, I remember back in 1988, because I was covering the campaign, when Michael Dukakis said that the campaign is about competence, not ideology, and the Republicans killed him on that.
Don't American voters care about values?
DEAN: They care about values. And there are a lot of different kinds of values. My attitude is, each state's going to make their own kinds of decisions about these difficult issues that we're -- you know, the social issues that divide us.
My take on this was that Dean appeared to be saying abortion laws, gun laws, gay marriage laws all should be left up to the states , all contrary to everything the left believes.
If Wallace had been paying attention to Dean's BS, he could have pressed him on this which would have at least provided Kerry, Gephardt, et al with some fun ammo for the next debate. The worse they chew each other up in the primary, the easier it'll be for W.

"I'm inclined to give him another week. I noticed the interviewing discrepancy between Card and Dean, but its at least possible that Wallace had to tone down the interruptions because Dean was in another city and the interview was done remotely. There was a noticeable time delay and a couple of instances of the stop/start alternating that comes with the time delay."
My thoughts exactly. I thought Wallace was a bit pesky toward Card, but it didn't appear to me to be due to any obvious bias. I also don't want ANY channel pitching softballs to conservatives or liberals to fit an agenda. Fox should be as it says "Fair and Balanced", and the truth will take care of itself.

Wallace appeared to me to be a bit imperious. He is out of place hosting a show where Brit is on the other side of the desk.
Williams should go back to NPR and then get rid of the whole lot ,please include Ms. Liasson.

I missed Wallace's Fox debut and appreciate this commentary.
My children leave the room when Mara Liasson is on Brit's show. They hate to witness their mother coming untrained. The woman makes my blood boil.

Further, note the number of vowels in relation to consanants in his screen name.
Curious? I will permit others to make such a judgment.

Note how he made me mis-spell "consonants!"

"I see you signed up today to post this rant."
What does this have to do with anything? If you disagree with him than argue on substantive points, not a brain-dead response such as this. Weren't you new to this at one point?

"Wallace struck me as equally hard on Dean and Card."
Same here. So far I have no prolbmes with him.

I missed the Card interview but I did catch him with Dean and he had Dean nailed on his comments about his sealed records in Vermont and Deans nasty accusation that Dubya knew about 9-11.
