I don't know why people can't get over this color thing. We are all Americans and we all have the same opportunities to excel in life. We allow people to come in and say "whitey" does this or that or "blacks" do this or that or "hispanics" do this or that when the plain fact is each of us wants the same things.

We are all given the chance to excel and it is the individual that makes these decisions for themselves, oops, I forgot, we are a nation of Shepple - we let hollywood set the agenda about what each group is and how they should act or not act.

Geeze, people get over it. Realize that we have opportunites at hand and we are the only ones that can take advantage of them!

Is not the race question in this country similar the religous question in the Mid East? People in looking to justify their beliefs concerning Israel or the Palestinians work their way through history back to the bible or earlier and in this country rabble rousers go back to slavery or the slave trade in Africa. In economics there is the theory of sunk costs which teaches us to forget our prior investments and look to the future for the most efficient allocation of our capital in the future. While history should teach us not to repeat our past mistakes, history, which cannot be repealed, should not be the basis for moving forward.

I agree. We are all Americans. When people raise their children to Americans we will not see these problems. BTW, I honestly do not personally know one "white " American who has ever discriminated against a "black" American, or caused harm to one single "black" American.

Just the way I was raised and Waht I believe in my heart.

Sadly, I can not say the opposite is true. There is discrimination in this country , on both sides, black or white, those people do have the power "to get over it " if they wanted to.
