"A segment on Jack Valenti? What's that about?"

Sneaking in a bit of the 60 minutes format...we don't need that crap on FNS.

She won't get anywhere near him.

I can just see her going on a "listening tour" for the presidency.

There is a pretty "connected" talkshow host, Jim Quinn in Pittsburgh who mentioned TWICE last week that Hillary most likely will be indicted in January about the Tonken/campaign contributions thing.

This is the first I've heard of this scandal - any additional information? What is "Tonken" - sounds like chicom related?

Interesting that Billy Tauzin is in line to replace Valenti...that was news to me. I like Tauzin right where he is...and we ain't been exactly wiping the floor with the Dems in Louisiana.

She will be President with the treatment she gets. I am serious.

The mainstream media is the biggest enemy of this country. That is the truth!

Well, it is a great rumor if not true. I will pass it on.

I saw the end of the interview with Card, and then watched some of the interview with Dean. But my phone rang and I could not watch the rest. Dean lied like a rug

I saw that. It was great. I think Chris will be an improvement over the overly-gentle Tony. He's a smart guy.

Remember when he did his little cooking spot with Martha Stewart? And, then, the day after she was indicted, she picked THAT show to rerun in place of a new one; there was lots of speculation that at that time she was trying to go over/around the prosecutors in NYC to her friends in D.C.

I can't believe I watched MTP long enough to be able to make this comment:

Clinton does NOT make a good appearance in this type of format. She is apparently incapable of holding eye contact for more than about 2 or 3 seconds at a time while speaking. Conventional wisdom says this means she is lying.

About 90% of the time while she is speaking, her eye contact is a second or less. Very bad for believability. Funny thing is, if she tries to work on this, her eye contact will turn into the stuff of science fiction movies, RE: mind control and hypnosis.

She is on her "listening tour" as we speak. She is establishing herself as "one of the girls" and going to Iraq and talking in a smart way about the war thus establishing her as "one of the boys",,when she was talking about supporting our troops, I got to wondering if she ever went to an anti war rally in Viet Name years. And while she said "failure wasn't an option in Iraq", why did she go there and say the outcome wasn't assured. She should be asked that.

You are so right. She's going to listen her way straight into the Whitehouse. And her supporters will be so busy cackling their needs, wants, and grievances, they will never notice that she actually says nothing.

O.K. We'll see. I surely understand your skepticism. I've been waiting for a decade too, for the woman to get her due!

We'll see.

I am serious too. But I think the uninformed, uninterested populace is the reason the media gets away with what they do. But now thankfully we have a voice. That wasn't true a few years ago.

Chris is hammering Andrew Card in a hostile way right now. He's going to make an impression all right.

Kristinn reports that Hillary left by the back door from ABC's studio and they are now repositioning outside CBS on M Street, N.W.

They have Barbara Olsen's "Hell to Pay" book cover as a sign, Doctor Raoul's Osama sign and a blowup of the photo with President Bush in Baghdad holding the tray with the turkey with Hillary's face on the turkey.

It worked last time; saying she's only "listening to the people" gives her the ability to deflect any and all questioning.

As far as I'm concerned, she's never been asked a single tough question since 2000.
