I am a meatatarian and a carbotarian, and I like it!

Give me a steak, potato, a bunch of garlic bread and some wine, that is a perfect meal. Without bread, and a lot of it, I would hardly enjoy meals.

Bread is ok as long as it it Wheat or Whole Grains. Its the white or sourdough bread that is high in bad carbs.

And if pork rinds are any indication, this is one oddball diet.

pork rinds = 0 carbs

Ive had a weight problem all my life - my cultural diet doesnt help - (heavy pasta diet) - Ive lost weight before - only to gain it back - however Ive been on this one since 10/17 and have lost 16 pounds so far.

Gained 4 # for thanksgiving - but quickly lost it when I went back to work

I enjoy a tim hortons icced cappucino for breakfast - small bag of fritos (20 mg carbs) ...chinese food (no rice or eggroll) or meatballs for lunch.... and salads - chicken or meat for dinner

Its been super easy and has been a slow sustainable diet ..absolutely no bread, sweets, pasta etc Im presently at 272# - and hope to get down to my fighting weight of 195#.

My wife tried the same diet - didnt lose a pound

When you lose a little more weight the 20mg in the Frito's will be a problem. To keep going you'll need to keep the carbs to about 25mg a day.

251 last Christmas, 214 now. Nearly 6'-3" tall.

My new favorite Atkins lunch is a Jack in the Box Ultimate Cheeseburger...in a box with no bun, ketchup or other stuff. The cashier rings it up as two large beef patties at 75 cents each, 2 slices of American cheese at 20 cents each and 1 slice of swiss cheese at 20 cents. After tax, it is $2.23 in Pocatello. Served in a box with a plastic knife and fork. I bring a Snapple Diet Raspberry Tea to drink as the iced tea at Jack in the Box tastes lousy.

All I can say is it is about time they started catering to our needs!

Finding low carb food that also has no hydrogenated vegetable oils is real difficult. It would be very nice to have more options.

Just did the same thing at Windy's for dinner...

In-n-Out offers a protein burger (no bread, wrapped in lettuce instead). You can get it as a single, double or triple and you don’t have to use a knife and fork (still messy though).

I don't know about TheOtherOne, but I've been lucky with weight. I've eaten and drank anything and everything I wanted with no problems even when I was a programmer sitting on my butt 10 hours a day. Myself, I'm 5'11", 150-155 lbs and 42.

My middle son works at In-and-Out in San Diego. I like the food there, but I was disappointed to learn that the patty sizes are 1/8 lb. The offering at Jack in the Box was 1/4 lb patties.

You are lucky.

I was "lucky" unit I hit my mid twenties...

Do you smoke?

That seems to help with weight gain. I don't smoke.

That's why I get two double doubles when I go, which isn't often.

Sorry, give me a nice pile of (Mafaldina pasta) macaroni and cheese, with gobs of Gorganzola, Australian Extra Sharp White Cheddar, and Fornaciari Pamesan. Life's too short.

80 hours of work a week, I deserve it. ;)
