Prayer request for my Dear Aunt Sandy

My dear Aunt Sandy in Texas has brain cancer. Surgeons have removed as much of the tumor as possible, but were unable to remove it completely. The Doctors say folks in the same situation live an average of 9 months after surgery.

Sandy is currently working in therapy to overcome the effects of surgery. Her left side has been affected as well as some minor brain functions.

Please join me in prayer for Sandy.

Please Lord, watch over Sandy, guide her and protect her.
Make the medical staff wise and sure in their treatment.
Grant her strength to drive this affliction from her body.
Bless her and keep her, make your face to shine upon her, and grant her peace.

A good friend of mine (a doctor) just had an "inoperable" tumor cleared that was surrounding the area where the optic nerve merges in the middle of his brain. Most attempts at invasive surgery have an 80%-90% chance of severe side effects including death.

The Gamma Knife is a NON-INVASIVE surgical technique that uses several gamma guns that focus only on the area inside the brain that is progrmammed into the controlling computer. Side effects are only 10-20%.

Most surgeons do NOT like this method because it does not involve weeks of hospital care nore many of the $ervice$


Please see if that procedure has been successful in that type of cancer.

Is she near Houston?

Sandy lives closer to San Antonio. She has been in a Dallas hospital.

A little good news that Sandy is excited about. They were planning on keeping her in Dallas for her after surgery therapy, which was estimated to take three weeks. They have now found a nursing home where she can stay and finish her therapy that is close to her home. She will be able to visit with family, friends and perhaps most important, her dog.
