In all fairness, I feel compelled to correct a misconception. The report says "mostly cloudy", but in actuality, the sky is quite blue today.

I apparently am a bit greedy as well.......would love to have 16 inches of snow here as well, though that would have to be a once-in-two-decade storm.

BTW, Buffalo is NOT "upstate NY", we are in WESTERN NY. To people living in NYC, all of NY that is not part of NYC and its suburbs is "upstate"

BTW, Buffalo is NOT "upstate NY", we are in WESTERN NY. LOL! My parents were from Erie, PA. I made the mistake of refering to that area as being in the "midwest". My mother cooly informed me that they were from "the east".

No snow which is very unusual, but plenty of cold.
Only two seasons up here - winter and the 4th of July.
To: oh8eleven
Philly had it quasi-rough yesterday. Little snowfall today.

I'd rather do it this way than wait to wrestle with the full accumulation....North Shore LI. Absolutely right! Shoveled the patio 3x for the "low riders" (basset hounds). My plowman just called to say that he had an accident - ran into one of the town plows. His plow is totalled ... won't be here to clean up the driveway tonight ... /sigh/.
I moved up here from Huntington, several year ago. Where abouts on the North Shore are you? (I traded the 7:08 train for a 15 minute drive ... but still miss LI :-( )

I live in Hempstead, Nassau County. Alright! Went to high school in Nassau County - Sacred Heart Academy in Garden City. Chaminade was our 'brother' school. Very happy memories of those years!

Great Neck. Spent 11 years Port Jeff to Wall Street, 2.5 hrs each way...what was I thinking? Now I can walk to my office. I'm loving this right now though...White Christmas and all...

The only dance I ever attended was a back to school dance with Chaminade. The boys and girls walked around circles. It was so surreal, like right out of Sixteen Candles.
