CAPE CANAVERAL, Florida (AP) -- NASA is relying on Russian-made thrusters to steer the international space station following a new malfunction with the U.S. motion-control system, officials said Friday.

Flight controllers detected spikes in current and vibration in one of the station's three operating gyroscopes on November 8. Last week, when the gyroscopes were used again to shift the position of the orbiting outpost, all three worked.

And, as we were apparently 'class mates', did you know one of my girl-friends, Sigi Diebus, (Daughter of Dr. Kurt Diebus)? I am pretty sure you know who Dr. Diebus was, but for those who don't, he was the second man in the space program - next to Dr. Werner Von Braun.

Or, as you claim to have brains, were you perhaps, our sour Valedictorian girl, who did nothing but study? I wasn't in such company, as I only graduated 5th in my class of 368, and turned down membership in the National Honor Society, as I was too busy with too many other things.

And just what have you accomplished? I have listed a number of accomplishments, and you have listed none, zero, zilch, nada.

From your questions, You seem to have trained for a few minor things:

"How many years of higher education do you have under your belt? How many graduate courses have you taken in the hard sciences? What kind of labs have you worked in...and pursuing what sort of research? Have you ever delivered a paper or even presented a poster session? Hmmm...I think I know the answers to all those questions."

Things I went beyond, years ago.

I actually went out and accomplished things.

What have you actually done, besides being a 'student'?

The one lab I worked in/managed, had only about 17 of our 100 personnel with advanced degrees, and actually only 6, with post-doctoral degrees. Too many advanced degrees, just pulled us back from actually accomplishing something. We needed some people to do some actual work. And while I didn’t actually work in them, I built, equipped and stocked 4 labs.

I have a fair number of actual accomplishments, because I actually did things - I prefer applied science/work, rather than plain research. I like to actually accomplish tangible things, particularly building things.

So, if 'you tell me yours, I'll tell you some of mine'.

Delivering a paper at a symposium - wow, I'm impressed. I guess my little paper and analysis, which resulted in changes in the procedures and documentation policies of every base in the US military around the world, saving hundreds of thousands of manhours, and recognition by the Pentagon, doesn't count for much.

Don't let them get you down - these folks just have blinders on, and that is what I have been railing against here - closed minds.

I will tell you from personal experience, a good friend of mine literally kissed the Chinese 'quack' doctor, who saved the life of his 3 year old daughter, after the best western doctors failed, and had given up.

And, personnally, as I went so many places, I got sick and exposed to many 'strange' diseases, that western doctors knew nothing about. An Indian (india Indian in India) doctor saved my life once. And another time, my Cheauffer brought me a bag of various 'twigs' and grasses, that when made into a tea, cured my severe diahreaha (sp?) in 3 days, that western medicine couldn't cure after 6 weeks on the toilet. In this case I was lucky in that and also that I had a westen style toilet to sit on.

So, this may or may not be an answer to something, but it will never happen wih closed minds.

Just as we will never really get off this planet without some alternative to chemically powered rockets, and we need to open our minds to seek other methods.

Physicist declares mater-of-factly, that there is no anti-gravity. Well, perhaps that is true, perhaps not. At this point all we have is some theories, and we really don't even know what gravity is.

And as RightWhale says, it's pretty hard to fake an atomic bomb - but we didn't know - until we did it.

It doesn't always work western chemistry - (Agent Orange), which I trusted, has been killing me slowly for years. Perhaps I should go back to the 'quacks' in the orient.

Anyway, So, let's keep open minds and keep 'exploring'. I am sure that someday we will figure it out, as long as we keep seeking answers.

And going out in a row boat in the Indian River lagoon, on a dark night, when I was a boy, was just a marvelous and beautiful delight, as each dip of the oar caused a wonderful bio-luminescent glow. Great for taking out your girlfriend too, but that worked better with the moon out.

I've only seen chemiluminescent beef liver, but chicken liver ought to work too. Xbob says ham and luncheon meat glow. I always assumed liver chemiluminescence was from cytochrome-p450-generated peroxide, but luminescence from a cooked sample would have to be non-enzymatic.
