No doubt about it, walls work well. The East Germans used one to keep people in, but that was tyranny. A wall to keep bad people out is called common sense... we should consider one on our southern border.

For the time being, the wall makes a lot of sense to me. Ultimately, the wall will not be neccesary, but for now, it is a good idea.

I hope that I can one day go to visit that Country which gave birth to the notions and ethics which made Western Civilization possible, and real. I would like to have no concerns or fears of the insane ones, who reside in the stone age of ideas.

Why does everyone stick with the "Green Line" which deals with pre-1967 boundaries? Do we in the USA still talk about the Mason-Dixon line as a political boundary? What about the line demarcating the Louisiana Purchase?

I've been saying it among those around me for over a year now: the Israelis need to borrow a page from the Cold War and put up a full-blown DMZ with fences, walls, etc. Add border guards and binoculars--the whole nine yards. And in case anyone's wondering, I'm not Jewish and I don't have an ulterior motive. From a pure security standpoint, that's the only way the people there can really control the border and stop the flow of bombs once and for all. Just because other countries have undefended borders doesn't mean the Israelis must do the same. I can only imagine how the libs here would react if suicide bombs started going off in all of their trendy haunts. That treaty with Canada for our undefended border would get nixed awfully fast, I'll bet.
