The Religion of Snipers

While many news outlets are carrying the D.C. area sniper trial, they are desperately lacking in any real analysis of what these crimes really mean. Is this terrorism? Did religion -- namely Islam -- play a role in the killings? Is this connected to Osama's al Qaeda, even if only via ideology? And, is any of this related to the new shooting spree in Ohio?

Yes, yes, yes and yes... and I have evidence to back my claims.

What follows are official court documents from the Malvo case in Fairfax County, Virginia. Each image is from a sketch Malvo made while in prison. Take a look for yourself and see what you think. Or, in other words, I report... you decide. (all documents are from 12/03/2003 DF Exhibit #65)

A little report for you from our nation's capital. After reading of the case every day for two weeks in the local press and watching inumerable telecasts, I want you guys to know that this is the first I have heard of this strong jihadist aspect of the case. That is shocking after the media blitz devoted to it.

Here's the spin in DC: Muhammed wanted to get custody of his children, so he started this random series of geographically scattered shootings meant to distract the police so that he could eventually get a clear shot at his ex-wife.

Young Malvo, none of whose art-work and pensive musings have made it to the DC papers, is being depicted as the brain-washed, kidnapped victim and quite possibly sex-slave of the older man. Neither killer has been portrayed as a militant Muslim.

I do recall some very strong hints in that regard that came out at the beginning, after the arrest. But oddly enough, this entire jihadist aspect of the case has been downplayed to the maximum. I hope this evidence is permissible in court. There is one other common aspect of the DC shootings that is shared by the Columbus case: both cities have been afflicted with that worst of all possible law enforcement officials: the idiotic AAA (Affirmative Action Clymer) police chief. In fact, Columbus' PC makes ex-PC Moose, Ph.D. look intelligent.
