I'd find the sleaziest lawyer in New Orleans and sue the hell out of them.

Better to go for an honest one, easier to find, few candidates.

That might work, but it is exactly the thing that has produced the zero tolerance policies in the first place. For over 40 years now, liberal judges have been removing the ability of the schools to set standards and enforce discipline. It has gotten where zero tolerance policies are the only ones that stand a chance of holding up to judicial review. Then the very people who voted liberals into office complain about the end result.

At one time schools were able to help teach students, respect, manners, neatness, personal grooming and other elements of civilized behavior. Today they are strugling just to keep out the weapons and dope. It didn't happen because educators wanted the system to slide downhill. It happended because complacent, self-centered parents abdicated their responsibility both at home and at the polls.
