I don't want to come off as defending a murderer, but all I've seen in the news so far is that they've found blood in his car that is the same type as Dru's, based on a preliminary test. That's pretty strong evidence, but it's not proof.
When the DNA sequence comes back an absolute match, proving that Dru was bleeding in this man's car, then by all means hang him.
I fully expect that such proof is forthcoming. In fact, I think we've found our murderer. That being so, it shouldn't be terribly difficult to come up with real proof. The DNA evidence should be the clincher.
Probably will be too little, too late by then.
He was also seen on a security camera in the Mall parking lot where Dru worked. Put that together with the blood evidence, and his propensity for being a sexual predator, well, you do the math.
I think they had enough on this man to put him under the lights and torture him to find out information about what he did to this young woman. Just my opinion, I know this could never happen in the "kid glove treatment" of criminals in our society today.
