EMINEM RAPS OF SEEING 'PRESIDENT DEAD'
Drudge Report ^ | 12/5/03

Posted on 12/05/2003 6:47:00 AM PST by areafiftyone

A new shock song from rapper Eminem wishes the president dead, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned...

On the track WE AS AMERICANS, obtained by DRUDGE, the nation's top selling rapper shockingly rants: 'F**k money. I don't rap for dead presidents. I'd rather see the president dead. It's never been said, but I set precedents and the standards and they can't stand it... We as Americans. Us as a citizen. We've got to protect ourselves'...

I agree. As an adult, I choose to listen to him. The more of a rise he gets out of people, the more $ he makes. At least he's not whining about his mother anymore.

"I'll reserve criticism when I've read the whole rap. I happen to enjoy Mr. Mathers rap. It's usually both ironic and satiric, and slams the status quo."

Rap is nothing more, or less, than another symptom of the decay and rot of what was once our society.

This putrefacted schtick, sold in the name of "art", or, worse still, "music" (!!!???), is the result of a lazy, wanton, slovenly and untalented sub-group of our population who, having completely lost any true moral, meaningful, or substantive core to which they might cling, have decided to just make hateful, ignorant gibberish noises simply because they can, and because, for some inexplicable reason, another tragic subset of the idiot public pays good money to suck it up.

Both of these subsets, by the way, suffer from the same affliction of having lost any true moral, meaningful, or substantive core values. Were it otherwise, they would decry "rap" as the socially destructive, anti-matter crap that it is.

It is possible to outgrow the need for this "rebel-without-a-clue syndrome" pus. I know, because I did it myself. I never liked rap, but as a musician with credits on several major-label records (Melanie's "Greatest Hits," Grim Reaper's "Rock You To Hell," etc., and even a major movie soundtrack ("Speedzone" with John Candy), my musical tastes are ecclectic to say the least.

Way back when I was a wasted punk, I would listen to just about anything that I knew would shock my parents, and I know that that is the key to rap's current "success."

None of which qualifies the genre as anything more than the sonic vomit which it is.

In my humble opinion.

And now we know why he was nominated for something like 5 grammy's. It certainly wasn't for having any talent.

Couldn't agree with you more...I think I have used the same comparison (to Lennon, that is). Perhaps we both smell a bit of teen spirit.

This guy pretty much offends everybody. Typically, he goes off on the left more than the right. I have a feeling he is a closet conservative. If his audience knew that, his record sales would plummet.

This is such BS. Eminem is not in any way wishing to see the President dead. He is just using a (rather lame) twist on the phrase "dead presidents" to show his aversion to rapping for money. It's in poor taste, and it's even bad songwriting, but it certainly is not threatening. By the way, this song was never meant to be released. It's a song off an upcoming bootleg album featuring old songs.

totally agree.. just shows how far the music business has sunk. this guy talented? bad poetry , rehased music backround with drum machine beats... so many people put that caveat in, that he has talent..incorrect.

Louis Armstrong must be reeling in his grave.

Well, I guess you wouldn't agree with me that Kurdt Cobain was a genius...hard to argue art or entertainment.

Cobain a genius? Uh, he took a shotgun and blew his brains out. Left a wife (another idiot in most ways) and a young child.

Nope, all said and done Cobain was a dummy....

He was no dummy; he suffered from bipolar disorder which has a higher rate of suicide than regular depression; but anyway, I was talking about talent for creating some of the best rock and roll of the last 40 years.

Back in the summer - many Believers joined together in corporate prayer to call Eminem out of the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of Light! Many are still praying for him. I would welcome all FR to join in this effort to see this young man set free from the evil that rules over him! Whom the SON sets free is FREE INDEED! Come out Eminen!

He was also addicted to heroin.

But you are right, he was bi-polar. Double bi-polar I suppose if you consider what a shotgun does to the head.

Bipolars have extremely high rates of drug abuse also...and your joke was clever, (William Buckley voice) but, I fear, unfunny.

We refused to let our teen boys have M&M cd's in our home, and it was quite a battleground a few years ago.

This just reminded me of something I had seen at my kids' Christian school this year: The third graders had to do a poster board project about themselves....including favotire food, movies, books, etc. On at least three of the kids' projects, Eminem was listed as their favorite singer...Yep, third graders at a Christian school. What are the parents thinking?

EMINEM RAPS OF SEEING 'PRESIDENT DEAD'

My suggested title:
Somewhere, a hate-filled, no-talent, controversial, wanna-be (C)Rapper has just farted...

What are the parents thinking?

Obviously, they aren't paying attention, which is shocking, considering the filth passing as music these days.
