I can only agree with the second half of your thoughts. It has been proven time and again (actor Anthony Perkins comes to mind) that homosexual behavior can be overcome.
That's what I said. Read my post when you get a chance. I said that just as some people are born with defects and others acquire defects through some sort of injury, similarly some people are born with the defect of "homosexuality" and others acquire that defect through life experience.
AND -- get this -- just as it is **RIGHT** for those with physical defects to seek medical attention, in order to become healthy, those who are inclined toward homosexuality are **RIGHT** to seek help to become healthy (i.e., heterosexual).
Think about that perspective for a bit. It's really quite reasonable, and very compatible with Scripture, and provides a consistent path for sexually unhealthy people to become healthy.
Of course I believe that homosexuals can become healthy (i.e., heterosexual). Just as someone with a broken arm can get that healed, or someone with cancer can become supernaturally healed by the Lord.
