When he was with the Queen, recently, didn't he raise a glass of champagne, in a toast, but he didn't drink from it.
Toasting is fine, and he wouldn't be rude.
I don't believe that he would drink alcohol, again.

He is the President of the United States of America.If he wants sparkling white nonalcoholic wine,grape juice, in place of Champagne ,he has it!One can fake a sip,though.
