CCF TV Ads Expose PETA

Beginning last night, millions of Fox News Channel viewers learned that People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is linked with domestic terrorism. Two new television ads produced by the Center for Consumer Freedom expose PETA for funding, condoning, and supporting arson and other forms of violence.

One of our new 30-second commercials features a young woman who talks about teaching her children to love and respect animals. But she denounces PETA's support of violence as extreme and unacceptable.

The second spot begins by exposing PETA's opposition to all medical research using animals, including efforts to find cures for leukemia, multiple sclerosis, and AIDS. It also highlights the $70,000 PETA gave to Rodney Coronado, a convicted arsonist who burned down a Michigan State University research lab. PETA president Ingrid Newkirk recently referred to Coronado as "a fine young man." Our ad shows Coronado, videotaped less than a year after his parole expired, demonstrating to student activists how to build a firebomb.

These commercials are likely to shock PETA's financial donors, many of whom are in the dark about how radical the group really is. PETA's zealots have made careers out of being (in Ingrid Newkirk's words) "total press sluts." But now, at last, there's a spotlight that the group doesn't want to occupy.

Well, it looks as though they will occupy it anyway. Domestic terrorism is nothing new anyway, is it?

I saw those, without sound, while at the gym last night. When I realized what was going on, I let out a low, "Yesssss".

I wanted to call people, but I needed to keep the cardio going.

Great commercial, now can they get a major to run one or th eother.

Great news, Dixie! Fingers crossed that plans are in train to revoke their 501(c) status ASAP.

I saw the ads and I think that they're great! I'm SO glad that someone has decided to stand up and shine some truth on these socialist wackos. PETA and other liberal radicals are vampires that suck the blood from America's jugular vein - and they're served a garlic smoothie in full sunlight every time the truth is told. Bravo.

Since I don't have cable, I haven't seen them, but when I read the article - the first thing I thought was - wow, they are really looking at this for what it is.

I can't ignore the fact though that these people do have a right to freedom of speech but I do draw the line at throwing blood or paint on people and setting their homes, cars and possessions on fire. Quite often it results in major catastrophe's as we saw in California.

Hi Byron - good to "see" you again. It would be wonderful if it was revoked because of the harm that they are causing people.

Although (and this is contradictory)I abhor testing on animals, I am thankful for the knowledge gained because without it I would be having seizures all the time. Diabetics would not have insulin, etc.,etc.

It is the unnecessary violence that is horrifying. Wholesale destruction of a car dealership, or a wharehouse, oh, phooey, I could go on forever...

For those who haven't seen the commercials, here's a CCF link. Shows the PETA commercials and several others. The CCF does good work.

Heard today that FBI is offering $50K reward for info leading to capture of animal rights terrorist that bombed Chiron and Shaklee building nearby.

This is good. With the ads exposing PETA, general population support will drop. With the $50K reward for the terrorist scum floating out there, other terrorist scum will realize it isn't all fun and games anymore and that their acts of destruction will no longer be ignored.

A lot of the supporters will lose their stomach for "activism." The committed nuts will just become more shrill as a result, further exposing their lunacy and leading to their further marginalization. Kind of like the Dem Party.

I'm glad to see conservative groups using tactics like this. I argued with a freeper several years ago about taking to the streets with conservative activism--she was opposed to it because it was "beneath" conservatives to use such tactics. BS; leftists have used it for years to perpetuate their lies and look where we're at today. Extraordinary times require extraordinary measures. With the truth on our side and with the left so far out on the fringe it should be like shooting fish in a barrel. I'm excited to see what Ingrid & Co. have to say about these ads.

it is about time that conservatives point out the junk which is the backbone of many liberal efforts. People who shout down speakers are as bad of an example as greenpeace and PETA for their support of illegal actions.

I agree randog. We MUST counter the insanity of the left with the voice of reason, or our country will suffer for decades. There is no benefit to a "silent" majority, when liberal tactics are being so brazenly and in certain cases, effectively employed.

I think we need to get past feeling uncomfortable with publically stating what we stand for and believe in. And we need to prepare to do "verbal battle" with the libs. Maybe we need some training programs....lol.

If I were to pay someone $70,000 to burn a building/home/business/etc. down, I would be in jail faster than fies find fresh dung. Jet the PETA "big-wigs" can do just that and get in zero trouble? Is it because they have a "cause"?
